In an effort to be fair to anyone who bid above 2.75BTC I will honor the exact same coins listed in the OP of this auction at 2.75BTC.

This offer will remain for the next 24 hours. PM me to have this offer executed for you.

Same shipping costs and terms apply in the OP.

Thank you smoothie, I appreciate your clarification.

Now off to bed. Pls reconsider the "noon" auctions, lol

Hah now I'm even more confused....
he already changed the rules once, so if you bid again he might change them again for you

Bitguy101 wins @ 2.75BTC

My point in restarting the auction was to show that it wasn't me trying to get you guys to bid higher is why I called the auction the way I did.

Simply that was my point of view of how I saw things and how they unfolded.

Bitguy101 bid twice to attempt to outbid you, but since he had a misunderstanding of the rules that was not clarified in time I made a call to restart the auction.

It wasn't about changing the rules. It was about clarifying them. Since his intent was by his own words to outbid you, I restarted the auction the way I did.

Adding extra decimal places at the end of the bid makes it more confusing (even to me) and actually adds little value to the actual bid being made.

For future auctions there will be disallowed extra decimal places to the right of the min bid increment.

This auction is now closed.

I bid 2.75 when it starts

Got it, and bids will be at least .01 higher and no extra decimals. (they are pretty worthless these days as aren't even good for beer money anymore, lol)
haha unfortunatly true

Lol. Who won now? Is it over?
The 15 minute rule has expired, however bitguy101 is willing to bid high amounts, so no

The auction will restart in 10 minutes from now...

Once it is started the min bid is 2.75BTC and the min increment is 0.01BTC

and same 15 min rule applies.

No extra decimal places please  Smiley

And after the 1st time he bid too low, I told him his bid was invalid and he corrected his bid to be higher
Just had added next .005 increment as knew it was last min and didn't have time to see what you were talking about.
I explained my rationality behind it here

@Panthers, I can understand both sides but you have to admit his misunderstanding was due to me not being here to clarify. Hence there is 15 minutes between bids...and me not being here...bitguy can answer for himself if he intended on outbidding you or not. I will not speak for him.

What if I restarted the auction at 2.75BTC and increments of 0.01 and let you both go at it?
It is your auction, however I do think I won according to the rules in the OP, and even according to your initial clarification.

From now on I will not accept bids that have more extra decimal places than the min increment.

3.01 is accepted

but

3.0181842 is not

It makes it confusing for some obviously.  Tongue

Smoothie, yes, intended to outbid.
You can see all my bids were in .005 increments, just not necessarily .005 higher, which was the discrepancy.

For future auctions I will disallow any extra decimal places (to the right of the min increment decimal place) in bids as it makes things more confusing.

He bid 3.8, and then immediately retracted it and bid 3.18 which is less then .005 then my last bid.

In other words he bid a valid bid and then replaced it with something that was invalid, indicating that he did not want to outbid me

Good point. I didn't catch his bid of 3.8 lol.

@Bitguy, was that a fluke bid 3.8?

To be clear I believe bitguy101 still wanted to outbid you (Panthers). His understanding of the increments is what messed him up.

I understand that however a major rule in auction strategy is to know the rules of the auction (no pun intended)

Sorry, that was just a typo, hit 3.80 instead of 3.180, just missed the 1, and fixed it to what I thought was following rules.
