problem with the coin is the 2million from the first 200 blocks.  I got about 200k from them and try to spread them around.  i hope that everyone else that got the 10k blocks will put theres up to support pools, gambling sites and giveaways
As the person who released it, it would have been a jackass move to mine the 10k blocks, but I did start mining when the 1000 blocks started, and I am willing to donate 200K GLD to any real exchange (not a spreadsheet) that offers GLD/BTC, GLD/LTC, GLD/NVC, GLD/FTC.

I have also donated roughly 250K coins in the last 2 days.

stay active with us and this coin will be on a exchange in no time   Smiley

IMO going to exchange right now at this point might not be wise. I have seen many alt coins go up on them only to see them crash and burn. My BBQ became worthless over night when it hit... along with Chinacoin. I think the only one that got good traction was BitBar

YAC is doing good there also..

That is because YAC has not been hit by GPU... being only CPU atm is what made it strong.

Im just saying be careful what you wish for. Could this be of value? Sure... maybe... but small claim holders like me would be very disappointed seeing the price crash.

I spent all night solo mining but couldn't get a single coin. I started at block 2000 or so, with diff ~0.001.

This is the gldcoin.conf file I used:

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8122
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

Then I used cgminer with the following command line:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://127.0.0.1:8122 -u username -p password -I 14 -w 256

There were no errors, but didn't find a single block, so it seems something went wrong. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

PS If anyone wants to share his luck, here's my wallet address.

I used the following extra params with cgminer and it seemed to make the difference;

--scan-time 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0
