I am looking to buy around 10-15 type of coins and keeping them for long term 2 years +
Whichever exchange you pick make sure that all those coins are supported and traded there. Since you mentioned that you are leaning towards Binance have a look if the coins you plan to buy appear in the following list as well as the fees that apply to them.

Trezor or Ledger is a crypto wallet that you can use to store your funds safely. You should also know how to keep your wallet safe and secured to avoid someone having an access to your wallet and your funds will be stolen. You should remember what mjglqw replied that you should know what coins that you want to buy or no profit will be earned.

From what I see, Binance seem to have a lot more coin available...can I just buy and sell on Binance ? are the fees higher than Krakens ?

Probably just do it like this.

Buy bitcoin using USD on Kraken, and send over the BTC to Binance to do your altcoin shopping. Then, probably grab yourself a reputable hardware wallet(Ledger[1]/Trezor[2]) for you to store your funds safely.

Make sure you know what you're doing. Buying just random coins that you don't know about can seriously end you up with a lot of lost money in the future.

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a good iphone app to buy and sell crypto. I looked at Coinbase but it seems they have problems letting you sell back your bitcoins if you are from Canada.

Also, second question, If I have a Ledger Nano S, can I buy coins online and store them on it ? Or do I have to go to a local Bitcoin ATM ?

Thanks

Check out Monarch mobile app
You can buy/Sell, trade and earn interest based on Celsius/Bitgo.

I don't understand, so I buy the coins on Kraken but I sell them on Binance ?

If you're planning on selling the coins back at some time then use Kraken also if you're going to use Kraken to buy the coins anyway. No need to unnecessarily use two different platforms. Just remember to use a non-custodial wallet for safe keeping while you're waiting for an opportunity to sell.

From what I see, Binance seem to have a lot more coin available...can I just buy and sell on Binance ? are the fees higher than Krakens ?
Seems binance have cheaper fee and you also can reduce fee further by using BNB,but you can't simply pick random exchange and buy random coins.First you need to decide what coin you are going to buy,if you just planning for day trading then binance would be better but you have to learn about the basic indicators like RSI and bollinger bands for getting idea of when to buy and sell.

You should select an app that suits your demands, and not just the preference of others. Look up all the suggested apps and choose based on you requirements on privacy, customer relations and and the actual functioning of the app.

Today, for any operating system, there are quite a lot of applications that can be used to trade cryptocurrencies.  Many cryptocurrency users still buy and sell cryptocurrency using websites and consider it more secure.  But if we talk about applications, it is best to choose the application of those trading exchanges that have a very good rating.  Examples include Binance, Kucoin, and GBX Exchange.

Examples include Binance, Kucoin, and GBX Exchange.

I agree for 2 exchanges mention above but no for GBX exchange honestly never heard of it and look at the volume from coingeko it's too low with no 24hrs volume. For me, it is not safe to use even on the app.

Anyway, Binance is the best option for me to trade Bitcoin "buy and sell" the Binance app is very responsive and never had any issue yet but I am not using it for daily basis I just using it when converting my bitcoin to USDT.
You can find the apps from this URL https://www.binance.com/clientDownloads.html

For KuCoin they are also great I use it to exchange some coins but I mostly trade in Binance.
The right URL to download the KuCoin app you can find from here https://www.kucoin.com/download

Personally i am using Coinbase as it is not restricted in my country.
As a second alternative I would suggest Kraken as they have low fees and you can buy/sell Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies easily.
For your second question, yes you can store your crypto on the Nano S as long as you bought them.

Coinbase I absolutely do not like, for many reasons. So I would still recommend Kraken

Can you please provide us your reason why you think it is not good or you don't like to make use of coinbase as a means of buying and selling your crypto currency and why you recommend Kraken.

If want to do transaction on crypto for making profit, i think TabTrader app is good for you, there are listed many famous exchange. But you need an account in the exchange first to eligible trade on it.
For second question, you can buy coins on the exchanger then make withdrawal from exchange to your address coin on your ledger/nano.

If you are looking for an app on the iPhone in order to trade cryptocurrency in Canada then why not use Coinsquare. It is the best option available and they have an app for both android and IOS.

Ledger Nano is a hardware crypto wallet. You can store and trade crypto using this wallet. It is far much secure than any other wallet available in the market. Good Choice.

If Coinbase is not working for you, check out Kraken[1] and Gemini[2]. As far as I know these three are currently the most reputable in most countries they support.

Also, second question, If I have a Ledger Nano S, can I buy coins online and store them on it ?
Yes. Send over the funds from the exchange to your Ledger Nano S' bitcoin wallet address. To prevent confusion on your side, please read this post concerning wallets: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-bitcoin-wallets-which-what-why-1631151

Or do I have to go to a local Bitcoin ATM ?
You go to a bitcoin ATM to buy or sell bitcoins, not store them. With bitcoin, you are your own bank.
