This place need some life, I expected a bit a lovely resto's from all over the world or stuff or things.....
Btw last evening I was in the heart of Antwerp and went
again to one of my personal favorite restaurants, if someone is in Antwerp I would always recommend this one
Always go for the
full menu with paired
drinks (not only wines, most of it are wines of-course)
So first we take aperitif
A kirr royal and a semi sweet gin tonic
followed by a few amuse bites
then we went for the full 7 dishes and their signature dish so 8 ....
First we had a season dish "Maatjes haring" = Young herring, with - lettuce - radish accompanied by a white wine
Second we had "noordzee tong" = Sole, with - artichoke - fennel - grey shrimps accompanied by a white wine
Third we had "inktvis" = Squid, with - Mediterranean vegetables - couscous accompanied by a white wine
Fourth was the signature dish of the resto, their amazing Bouillabaisse accompanied by a white wine
Fifth we had "langoustines" = langoustine accompanied by a white wine
Sixth we had "roodbaars" = redfish accompanied by a white wine
Seventh we had Chocolat - vanilla - caramel - peanut accompanied by a cocktail based on Cointreau, Chocolate, espresso, Khalua ... (awesome with the dish)
Eight we had Strawberry - mascarpone - rhubarb - vanille accompanied by a sparkling rosé
