These are just their legal representation or defense it doesn't bring any positive news yet, because the other party will have their counter on their defense it's really far from over but at least they give holders and investors clarity of what they are fighting about, they should do an update on the case from time to time, Ripple is still hanging, but for how long.
What is the positive news in this, they have asked the SEC and tried to counter them, another interesting aspect which is seen is that the Ripple labs have filed a freedom of information act request to understand about the SEC take on BTCitcoin and Ether and it is going to be interesting to know how the SEC view ETH and whether they will be facing the same issues as ETH raised money in the form of ICO.

in spite of the drop but didnt really face up that severe. It do still hold 4th ranking on the entire cap on having currently price of $0.3942 which isnt really that bad and

If it is true they can solve their problem with the SEC, of course this will be one big bounce back and congratulations to those who bought it when the price dipped at $0.17. but I'm not sure the SEC will drop the case that easily, so let's wait for the next update in a few days

Just on the announcement of response the price has pumped massively, this goes to show the support and confidence by the community for xrp. I am sure eventually good things will come up for xrp.
Good things like what? Ripple have no use case anymore. Only use case was to trade it on exchanged. Pump and dump. Now is not allowed in USA and soon in countries that are related to USA since they will force other countries to comply with their regulations. There is zero point Ripple exist. It was zero point for it already in 2012 when it was created.
