I agree that it's based on the luck that we have during the scenario of the game we played. There is house edge that will slowly make you loss even if you bet with very low odds (chance to win).
Many try martingale technique which is basically increasing your bet with each loss with respect to your losing amount so that when you will win you will actually get few profit but if you get few red streaks/loss in row than this will not work even for low chance to win.
