I haven't been staring at the market depth (as I have on sleepless nights in the past), but it looks to me that the sellers are running out of coins. Unless people are moving coin into the market, there just won't be enough coin to trade and the price will reverse.

I think the long weekend in the US has caused an elongated weekend dip which in turn has shaken the confidence of the market. People sell out thinking it's a crash which drives prices down lower. The upcoming difficulty hike in just over a day is probably contributing too, with miners thinking about cashing out and selling up.

I expect to see it hit around seven or eight dollars before before prices start to rise again, but there's nothing to stop it from going lower than that. This is only really a problem if you're not in BItcoin for the long haul, I guess.

Do "real" stock exchanges and stuff have depth charts?

Yes, of course Forex does have a depth chart, because limit orders are public information and any good exchange can plot that.

Also a good time to buy Namecoins... security through diversification (without needing fiat currency to be involved).

The depth chart is rigged to have you make the expected decisions by the manipulators.

See those huge buy/sell side bars? these orders actually never gets executed, they act as a brackets so people trade within their range.

I think a lot of this is caused by EVERYBODY having depth charts visible. It's, like, too much info. It messes with our heads and we do weird shit to try to break away from the herd.

Do "real" stock exchanges and stuff have depth charts? I've never seen anything like it when buying or selling stock. You just have to go with your gut and do a little research
