Learn from the past, I can see most ICO has succeeded mostly from service such an exchange or payment method purpose, the one has succeeds was bitmart, I think this kind of service can bring real benefit to their Investors by running their business, so for now I'm watching ADAB Solution well I don't even decide to invest or join the campaign but I guess they have unique feature that they offer here, basically they're making this ICO in order to build the "first Islamic crypto exchange", some of you might be wondering why Muslim need their own exchange while there are a lot of exchanges out there, well, this exchange accordance with sharia law (something like rules that is written in the Holy Quran or Hadits, where as a Muslim you have to follow those rules) and most exchange right now connected to "gambling" or "usury" which against the sharia law so they can help Muslim crypto community all over the world.

Right now, the only ICO I recently invested in is AllSporter. After my friend told me about this, I did my research and I found that they are a sound investment. Having a solid team behind the project and an already working app used by thousands and all their data is available to read on their whitepaper. You can check them out for yourself here ---> https://allsportercoin.io/

For now I would advise you to pay attention to Mira https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-mira-cryptocurrencies-have-never-been-so-easy-2367768. Pre-ICO stage is coming tomorrow (November 27-29), they will sell Mira tokens with a discount up to 40%. I think project has a future because they offer a solution for storing in miraboxes and sending different types of cryptocurrencies off-chain. Principles of simplicity, security and anonymity. Nice idea

All about CommerceBlock.

First and only ICO with a BIP. Product already and and used by customers. Strategic partnerships with companies like CG Blockchain and advisors from fompanies like Coinshares (e.g. Global Advisors).

The ICO landscape has changed significantly and only the strong will survive. No smoke and mirrors required, just hardcore tech at CommerceBlock.

I live it and love it.

So many ICO's indeed but most are successful already. But we will know if it is really successful once it stays on the market and having a good profitability and also devs are keeping on updating the projects for investors to be informed. As of now, Pillar, Adex and Bowhead are quite promising. You can have a look at it.

80% of ico's are scam

The art is to distinguish the scams from the serious ones. Then you profit. You should never invest blindly in ICOs.
I have seen a video on Youtube with an economist. He explained ICO and expressed his opinion. He stated that 95% of current ICOs is a scam. However, as I got the idea, that won't be that way forever. The reason that this is what happens now is that people invest in coins without taking much consideration and plus the idea is quite new on the market, so it will need some time for garbage to die.

In fact, this is so.
But soon it will change and people will be more responsive to the analysis of new projects.

InsureX and Pillar look good projects and teams and both ICOs open next week.

Why them?
What did the Insurex project offer? Is it a working model?
I did not see the specific data in their white paper.

No activity here for more than two months. I bring the thread back up again since the question is very up-to-date. There are currently many ICOs of which it is difficult to estimate whether it is useful to invest in it or not.

Which upcoming or running ICOs do you recommend to invest in and why?

If you only want to invest I suggest you to join betking's ICO token crowdsale. We know that betking is trying to launch again so I guess it's a good chance to be part of that launching. You can found their thread here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--1989289 while it is still early invest into it.

You should take a look on BOSCoin  Grin. It has several improvements over ethereum's smart contracts that make them more useful (as they become more trustworthy). Its development/improvement consensus mechanism also is something tailored to tackle difficulties that we see in BTC and other altcoins. Its ICO is set to start on May 10th.www.boscoin.io/en/home

I have already seen some advertisements about BOScoin and I am hoping that this can indeed be another nice and trustworthy new altcoin in the market. I am closely watching this along with some other newcomers on the block. Hope they have a good developers team and capable admins.
