I am sure that Google will not be able to stop the development of crypto, if they are banned crypto they will be left by advertisers so that advertisers will look for alternative internet ads that are Google's competitors.
Maybe you can give the link as the source of the news. So, we will exactly believe the news. So far, I think that Google doesn't ban the advertmenst of the Crypto. Probably, there are only some ICOs that are indicated as spam or scammers. However, hopefully, Google will always support the cryptocurrency as it is very beneficial.

Not really banning cryptocurrency ads though from the beginning they only ban any ICO ads that's trying to gather funds from people while a cryptocurrency related product that's purely offering their product
not raising money is still allowed, however lifting the ads still sounds really good though.
