For instance, the user already had inactive flags and this scam could have been avoided if we would have supported the flag.
I agree with you... If the previous accusation was handled on time then this one could have been avoided.

The only DT was actmyname who was following the other accusation and he didn't support maybe there is something missing. Maybe the victim hasn't presented the evidence in a crystal clear manner.

Anyways, the flags are up now - I just hope not to see anyone get scammed in future by the Traderpolo. Naive members should consider the red warning before executing any trade. I witnessed that members ignore red warning and make a deal and later complains here.

Be Safe!

The "evidence" is a bit messy... a screenshot of a PM saying "message me on the skype on my profile"... currently listed as: "Skype Hassan.bouh7"... and then some skype chat in Spanish (which made it difficult).
Sometimes we shouldn't be relying on hardcore evidence when we can suspect the user has a tendency to scam. For instance, the user already had inactive flags and this scam could have been avoided if we would have supported the flag.

Supported.

Sorry for your lose OP. When you deal with a newbie or anyone who does not have enough trading history, consider using escrow. There will be less chance to get rip off.

Anyway, tagged the user and also you got support for the flag.

There's an inactive flag against Traderpolo212 already. It looks like an exit scam with multiple victims.

Interesting that it didn't showed me when I clicked the profile. Anyway I have supported the flag now. I am waiting for OP to create another one as well.

Yeah... it comes from this accusation: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/traderpolo212-scam-me-for-60-offering-me-vcc-be-careful-5158055

The "evidence" is a bit messy... a screenshot of a PM saying "message me on the skype on my profile"... currently listed as: "Skype Hassan.bouh7"... and then some skype chat in Spanish (which made it difficult).

Anyway, the skype profile links up with the screenshots... and along with this accusation would indicate that the account has gone rogue. So, I've supported the other flag. If OP can create another flag, I'll support that one too based on the evidence in this thread.

Also, for the record, OPs thread and replies by Traderpolo212 has been archived here: http://archive.is/3w4nB

Can you create a flag regarding this. I will support it since it seems like he scammed considering the fact he was online even after your messages in that thread and yet haven't responded so far.

I will go ahead and add a feedback for the meantime.
Guide me please, how to create a flag.

Go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;addflag=1619834. Select the type of flag which seems fit with your case (I think 2nd or 3rd.. 3rd one seems to be fit to your case). Create it and send the link here so that others can support/oppose based on the evidence present. This will create a scammer flag to warn others.

Topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/have-01-eth-want-00028-btc-5159367
Amount scammed: 33 usd worth ETH
Link of Payment: https://etherscan.io/tx/0xecd0d515a9373b619a6bcaa124f0979a6a4e1751b205512c5a3fe525213161a2

I opened the topic , i wanted to exchange eth to btc, which in turn i wanted to be sent to a guy in lending section who helped e 5 days ago with a 0.00288 btc loan.

As soon as i made a thread ,Traderpolo212 Pmed me that he can do it for 1:1 , i told ok. I posted the comment in thread

Hi i can buy them 1.1
Hello,
Kindly send 0.0029 btc to this address : 14mNB5a2sdMJTu51cHZVpsLqEo1G6m6cMT

I will pay you 0.11 eth as soon and you send the btc and send your eth address.

Note this 14mNB5a2sdMJTu51cHZVpsLqEo1G6m6cMT is not my btc address but some other friend from whom i took a loan.

He then PM me this:

Im not sending first like that you just told me to coment and you asking me to send first if yoy check i have more trust than you and i didn't ask you to send first
Send your address in thread, i will take a try sending you first.

You might be saying, Tim why the hell you sent him first , i sent him first seeing his trust history, which had a lots of feedback and fro old embers like Mangavox.

Now, i am confirmed that i have been tricked/scammed. My suggestion to all is that dont send first because trust system is not as functional as it should be.

The scammer profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1619834 , hope Traderpolo212 mom will be proud of his acts.
