The government blocked bitcoin for fear it would be used for terrorist purposes, laundering money. But as bitcoin grows and gets more popular, I think the government will change the negative thinking about it.

It is important for each country's leadership to understand the essence of the ongoing economic processes in its state and in the world.

If even goverments want to stop Bitcoin, then they get it badly. States recognize Bitcoin and this is of great importance. I think in the future goverments will use Bitcoin.

It's a nice idea but governments can never fully utilize cryptocurrency the way they want too and the reason is because it is decentralized, which is a bad word to government officials. They want to control...And, crypto cannot be controlled. This is why there is so much resistance from world governments concerning crypto.

With the recent slump of bitcoin's market cap and price, different negative thoughts will come in to our minds like government trying to take down bitcoin for good. But let's not forget that it's not the government that controls bitcoin and crypto. It's the people (their demands) are the one that's making the existence of bitcoin looks so untouchable and immortal.

No government can stop it. Many states are already accepting bitcoin or are starting to do it. The absence of a law will worsen the situation. The governments of the countries then do not recognize any information about transactions at all.

Here is what I see each time the government tries to stop or control bitcoin-

Bitcoin is designed to be censorship resistant, peer-to-peer payment system designed to remove the control by centralized institutions like banks . When bitcoin eventually achieve mass adoption, it will not really be much of an issue if some Governments place a ban on it within their countries.

Cryptominers and deep web divers would laugh at the fact that a weak government would try to block out bitcoins from the blockchain and they're planning to bring down blockchain like there is a way. I don't think there will ever be a future where the government wins.

Indeed government regulations are very difficult in the opponent so that when they begin to ban the existence of bitcoin, it is likely that people are afraid to invest and directly sell assets as soon as possible before all is lost.

There is no doubt that the government will seek to regulate this space quite strongly in the future. Concerns about money laundering are paramount. Basically governments want to know as much as possible about cash flow ' to keep us safe. They will use this panic tactic to push legislation that pushes BTC underground. It's hard to see how a BTC-type product ever becomes a mainstream, especially given how unattractive it is as a method of transaction (expensive and slow)

They need to do that in order to have some control, it's how governments rule, they control people, they control opposition. This picture in opening comment is great example what can governments do about crypto, almost nothing. They are thinking how to control all this but I believe they can't so much at the moment. With crypto it's all about what you do and how you do, if you wish to stay hidden and anonymous you can do that, you can stay free, but if you register your wallet address and you do couple kyc's than you will need to pay taxes.
Governments can't stop crypto, some countries already joined, others should follow their example.

There are already governments who have placed ban on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in their countries. Some are doing it out of ignorance about bitcoin while some are for no reason.

The government of course tries to limit and control the cryptocurrency, but let's be realistic, they will not be able to block the Internet

Yes, it’s true that majority of the governments trying to stop bitcoin. Because the government always against anything they will not have some benefits from. Bitcoin is not part of government property so that no one can stop bitcoin. I think the government will understand that cryptos can't be stopped technically. And I think also in the future governments will use Bitcoin.

A government that tries to stop bitcoin is a negative thing that will emerge, everything feels stiff and limits the development of bitcoin and the global market.
How wise the government will legalize bitcoin, which certainly brings good luck. Every day development always increases and develops well, so don't let this government stop bitcoin.
bitcoin in every country only threatens the banking system instead of threatening the country itself, all banks are disturbed by the emergence of bitcoin as a more sophisticated transaction system than banks in general, one reason for sure they lost many bank customers, bitcoin users only use banks as streams funds for disbursement into fiat money that will be used directly not to save in the bank, sorry that is only my opinion

It is possible that the government gets a warning from the bank regarding the existence of bitcoin, that they know bitcoin will tackle the development of banks around the world, so there is a possibility their reasons are disturbed by the current existence of bitcoin, and one of them that can stop is the government in each country, but they don't know that there are so many supporters of bitcoin around the world, and even bitcoin will turn this world into a world of technology ...

This is impossible to stop . Bitcoin and Altcoin are revolution in the global world today.one thing l believe strongly is that CHANGE is the only thing that is constant and that fact cannot be denied by any government . they will find way out to adopt despite their personal interest of the Bitcoin. the era of using paper money must defintely fade way with respect to time  according to the laws of nature that nothing last forever. "Bitcoin is here to stay" according to warren buffet

If majority of Governments try to stop bitcoin from continuing in this world large amount of people will be disappointed with them and that is the main reason that I think government won't such extreme decisions because the damaged party is much bigger and the amount of money that has invested on bitcoin is uncountable but they might take certain actions like they do now to limit the usage of bitcoin through media, site restricting and various other ways

I think if governments were trying to stop Bitcoini trying to stop a big event I think it would be a big event because people have a huge amount of Bitcoin in their hands so people can protest so I think governments do not handle.
