Also no indication of when to expect withdrawals to resume in any form or fashion.

Lame excuses and tactics to buy more time.

weekend approaching, my guess fix will be next week.

What fix? There isnt anything that needs to be fixed other than their solvency.

Bistamp dealt the TM issue. Close withdrawals temporarily and reopened then in a few days.

No issues there. This shows either 1 of 2 things:

1. MTGOX is incompetent

2. MTGOX is insolvent

I tend to believe it is #2.
It's probably both.

Fucking hilarious.... the guy from the UK rocking up with his protest is probably the "security issue" which has forced them to relocate!! You couldn't make this up.

Yeah there's probably a ton of wankers like that twat from England who turned up there 'protesting'.
You put your money into something like Gox or Bitcoin and you take your chances. There's no indication at all that they want to steal anyone's coins. Just a bunch of paranoid losers who have nothing better to do than make a big fuss.

So Gox decided to go somewhere more secure - sounds like a very good idea.

what exactly are they securing? Mark of people's money?

This is probably the case. Are they now classing a minor protest as a 'security issue'

Why isn't Bitstamp getting any cheaper ?   Lips sealed
Would be nice to see them stand on their own price for a while would expect an adjustment though.

As much as we didn’t want to only provide an “update on an update”, this is the current status. We are committed to solving this issue and will provide more information as soon as possible to keep everyone in the loop.

Other words: no more information for X weeks  Roll Eyes

Update - Announcement Affecting Bitcoin Transfers - February 20th, 2014
Mike Feb 20 • Announcements / Announcements

Dear MtGox Customers,

Thank you for your patience this week while we are working on re-initiating bitcoin withdrawals. In addition to the technical issue, this week we have experienced some security problems, and as a result we had to relocate MtGox to our previous office building in Shibuya (details can be found here: https://support.mtgox.com/home). The move, combined with some other security and technical challenges, pushed back our progress.

As much as we didn’t want to only provide an “update on an update”, this is the current status. We are committed to solving this issue and will provide more information as soon as possible to keep everyone in the loop.

We are very sorry for the delays and deeply appreciate your kind understanding and continuous support.

Best regards,
