HI DEV

I already started in Google mining, how to put the coin to my purse?

I like coins which help science

I do too! Hope you join!

my GPUs are with FoldingCoin... same cause so it doesn't matter
I like distribution better, because no ASICs at all. and using Counterparty instead of own blockchain.
maybe if Curecoin's pool can allow long usernames and then technically it will be possible to mine both Smiley

If they don't require you to sign up for a specific team you can sign up for cyrptobullionpools and sign up for team 224497 and fold with them.

My R9 290X isn't compatible. Sad

Yes it is compatible with folding@home. Are you having some sort of trouble setting it up? Have you followed the guide to setting it up? Let me know and I can try to help you. You should be able to get around 200k PPD with this GPU - in fact I'm planning on buying one to use for folding since after the Litecoin fiasco they are going for very cheap.
Thanks. When I let the program mine with my card, it says something along the lines of "card not found" or something. (I'm away from the computer right now)
How long does it take to get the 200k? Because that's 20 btc. Mistake?

To start 200k PPD does not mean 200k curecoin.

200k PPD means 200,000 points per day.

The formula for curecoin/day = (your points per day/teams points per day)*7500~

As for GPU not found, try plugging in your monitor (if you are using one) directly into your GPU and restarting it. Otherwise post your question here: https://foldingforum.org/viewforum.php?f=38 and there will be people to help you set it up.
Ok, I got it working but for some reason the client says my ppd will be 1.6k. I don't know what's wrong. Do you have any idea as to what it could be?

That's too low - has it updated, sometimes it takes a while to get to the correct PPD.

Keep hammering at this!  It's not flash and doesn't reek of hookers and liquor but it's real and real important.  Any knowledgeable and sane person is revolted by the massive waste of computing power that is the Bitcoin network.  I can't imagine what that kind of power could do if harnessed properly.  (Actually, lots of Lattice QCD comes to mind)  Our hashing should have value, not just juggling numbers for the hell of it.

Protein folding is and old story like SETI and other,
but is there any results over the last years ?? or they are researching for the zombie virus!  Cool

What do you mean by a zombie virus? First of all SETI and Protein folding have very different goals. Second of all both programs have had major results.

Here you can view some of the papers & results of FAH: http://folding.stanford.edu/home/papers

They have over 110 papers on everything from what they've learned from cloud computing to cloud computing more effective, to the tons of science they have accomplished - feel free to read through a few they are actually quite interesting.
