Wrong. The time last active field in a user's profile is nothing more then when they were last logged into their account. A user can get unbanned without accessing their account and in many cases can access their account when banned.

People who are perma banned are sometimes unbanned and considering how much harm Dank did, I would not be surprised if he was unbanned if he asked nicely after the amount of time he has been gone.

That is only for accounts which have been perma-banned recently.
Accounts which got banned prior to the implementation of this change still have their signatures.
So you can't conclude anything just because Dank has a signature.
