RT contributor's ordeal in Ukraine: Arrested, blindfolded, no guarantee of living
http://rt.com/news/175828-phillips-arrest-ukraine-details/

Quote
British journalist Graham Phillips tells RT of how his life has been thrown into disarray by his ordeal in Ukraine, speaking of recent cyberattacks and electronic account hackings, and his three days being held by the security services.

“I was put in a room next to an artillery position that they were firing heavily from, that was being fired on,” Phillips told RT, adding that his bulletproof vest had been seized despite the violence.

He said that he was blindfolded, given no guarantee that he was going to live, and called a terrorist.

“A soldier said that if he couldn’t confirm my details then he couldn’t guarantee that I was going to live. I was blindfolded,” Phillips said.

RT contributor Graham Phillips deported from Ukraine, banned for 3 years
http://rt.com/news/175676-ukraine-deport-rt-contributor/

Quote
The SBU said that the official reason for the deportation was the threat Phillips presented to "state security, sovereignty and territorial integrity" of Ukraine.

That's the price for not going along with the lies, and telling the outside world the truth. At least he is alive.

00:09 GMT:
A new law bans media from being in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine, the self-proclaimed defense minister of Donetsk People's Republic, Igor Strelkov, said, adding that the new legislation is meant to protect members of the press. “From now on journalists are not allowed to take pictures, video, audio or be in the combat zone, or near a combat zone,” RIA Novosti quoted DNR’s press service as saying.

Strelkov added that the measure is temporary and that special accreditations for the media are being considered, which would grant journalists full access to the combat zone.

Last video Graham Philips made before detention, asking a Ukrainian soldier who was in Mariupol on May 9 why unarmed people were killed:

I think this is going to backfire on the Kiev junta. Graham had found evidence in Mariupol of a massacre committed by the Right Sector. Many dozens were killed during that incident. Now the international media has also noticed this.

RT reporter Graham Phillips released in Ukraine after being held for 36 hours
http://rt.com/news/160608-rt-phillips-uk-released/

I’m back in business: Graham Phillips on his detention by Kiev security forces
http://rt.com/news/160628-phillips-rt-released-ukraine/

It's good that he got released. I don't think he was in any danger, what being a UK citizen, but Kiev got important 36 hours to destroy any evidence that Graham was getting closer to in Mariupol. Now, whatever he managed to collect is gone, and whatever he was about to find at the morgue is destroyed.

Graham's camera, memory card, laptop and other materials are still with the Right Sector militia. There is no hope of getting them back. BTW... Graham has appealed for the release of his colleagues Oleg and Marat, who were also detained by the Right Sector.

Good to hear that Graham Philips have been freed, after pressure exerted by the British Embassy. But it must be remembered that a large number of foreign journalists are still held in illegal detention by the Kiev junta.

The fact that the Ukrainian Kiev puppets feel they can get away with such open attacks on the journalists points in my opinion towards their feeling untouchable, as if they got guarantees from their puppeteers that nothing will change after the (p)resident election, and that they'll still be in power...
