...

Hello Philips@3112,
as you can see, I'm a newbie here too, even though I'm registered a few months ago.

I don't have many comments because I haven't found any subjects in which I can participate, and I don't want to offer false information or advice. I believe this platform contains a wealth of valuable knowledge, and I believe it is best for all newcomers to start by reading the responses of more senior members. This is why I like to read as much as possible.

Experts within should please help in any little way they can. I saw this forum online and from friends discussions about how it works but never been really told how to go about it. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

It's like a classes, you will first check the rules and the do's and the don't, after reading all the rules and getting acquainted on these rules, read and try learn subjects where members are discussing, don't even try to give your opinion if it doesn't make a sense it will just become redundant, relax be at ease things will unfold to you and after several months you'll be surprised that you can keep up with the discussion.

Read the pinned topic in this forum so you will have a guide on what to learn and where to find the topic. There are other threads too about how to use the search feature in this forum for finding the thread much faster. You should do that and you'll learn more in no time compared tonot knowing about the threads like the one you have read first.

Maybe, some of the answers about the forum have already been answered in this thread, however, what you need to understand is: This Bitcointalk forum has hundreds of information you can get: Crypto, trading, Bitcoin, buying / selling, reputation, archives, gambling, law, and many others.

The problem: if you open the link: forum Bitcointalk you will find everything you want to know, it's just that, you need to open and read the contents in the topic.

If you really want to know 1-2 months you will understand what people are talking about here, the bottom line: read diligently and study the discussion.

Well, if you are new to the forum first of all let me say Welcome to Bitcoin talk. You will learn a lot on the way but is important to understand what you can do and learn on this site.

Try to navigate the subsections on the forum, there you will find sections like Services, where you can offer your services or hire any kind of service, another nice section is the mining section where you can learn all that you need to start your own mining farm. And the forum even has a lending section where you can ask for a loan if you have the right collateral.

Is about what do you want to learn or with what people you want to make a team. So, take your time and do intense navigation.

So I suspect that what you are really asking is - How can I exploit the work of the members here to scratch a few coins, without bothering to do any research?
That's a hit below the belt Grin. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt first.
    ~cut~

Yeah, that was my first thought as well when I read Jet Cash's answer.  Grin

On the other hand, I agree that the OP's question is a little vague. Clearly, he possesses at least two essential predispositions for successful forum use: the ability to read and the ability to write. It is unclear what kind of assistance he seeks from 'experts'. Especially because he has already stated that he came to the forum on the recommendation of a friend.

The forum has every sections that you can visit if you're interested for each of their topics.
    (....)
And most of the sections got a pinned thread or sticky, which you will see on the first before the other thread. Most of those stickied threads are helpful, some are tips or advice, some are local rules for that section and that will help you to create some non-off-topic post or non-spam posts.
Yeah, I forgot about those pinned and stickied posts. Just go through with every one of them and you're going to learn the specific topics that you want to learn OP.
If you have questions, make sure to ask that on the specific threads or it might be moved by the mods to the correct one or might also be deleted if the question is deletable and has asked been asked many times. In that case, you can search for it using the box at the top.

One important thing you should know of the forum is the fact that, it is a discussion platform. It encourages open ended discussions to share ideas. Though it has several sections which we call boards, the theme of the for is mainly focused on discussions related to cryptos. How crypto participation could be encourages around the world, new innovations to crypyos, how you can acquire cryptos, should you encounter certain difficulty in crypto; what you should do and lots of those. Its just you learning and teaching at the same time because, from the questions you ask or answer, you learn and others learn as well.

So, the forum kinds of sees a way to increase our crypto awareness and strengthens our bonds through discussions.

I am not an expert, but I advise you that instead of just learning from someone about the basics and what happens, you should yourself explore and experience the forum. They really once said that time is a great teacher Grin and, it's true, from my own experience, you will understand the forum in a much better way if you spend sometime on it yourself, rather than directly jumping on it after gaining some knowledge from any other person!

Hey, welcome! The forum's vast. Spend some time to explore. Sooner or later, you'd be amazed at how wide and rich it is. You'll surely have fun reading, following certain topics, learning, joining discussions, dropping some questions, and probably even earning some Sats later on.

It might be hard for you today to specifically mention something you really want to deeply focus on since you're just new here. It might be developed soon while exploring and learning. You might end up specifically interested in trading, gambling, Bitcoin, development, altcoins, economics, and so on.

The forum has every sections that you can visit if you're interested for each of their topics. Like in trading, you go to the trading discussion. And if you want to know about mining, there are two sections for it, one is for the bitcoin mining and the other is for the mining of altcoins and for other topics, etc.
Welcome to the forum btw.  Wink

Agree with you though because for a complete newbie this newbie UI may be bit confused to understand, for example

how to reply in a thread?

    How to quote someone's post?

How to create a new topic? etc...

But here OP is not that much naive so he is probably looking for rules and technical knowledge of bitcointalk and cryptos respectively.

    @Philips@3112
What is it about crypto that interests you?
Are you interested in bitcoin or altcoins?

If the answer is bitcoin, can you narrow it down to be more specific? Maybe you like programming, and developing code. Maybe technical discussions about the blockchain, ins and outs of the network, and specific clients? Are you interested in mining and learning how to do it profitably? Or you could be here to learn about trading and reading charts and patterns?

If you are into altcoins, there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to everything non-bitcoin in the Altcoin section.

Welcome to the forum. If your intention to join this forum for learning purposes, then you are in the right place. A couple of threads has been provided above that would help you to gain quick knowledge about the forum. For learning about cryptocurrency, you need to spend time on the forum to read posts and engage with the discussion. The forum users are enough friendly to help you if needed. I don't want to add more thread but just will encourage you to use the search button when you need to learn or know anything. Because so many threads have been discussed here where you would get your desired answer rather than creating new threads. I always suggest newbies use the search button to prevent spam and avoid unnecessary discussions.
