Oh this is brilliant! I am really hoping I have not missed this deal as a 10% discount is always great no matter what the product but for alienware or dell this is great! Does anyone know if this deal is still on?

Thanks.

Alienware should release a Bitcoin special edition laptop with a nice BTC logo on it, all the wallets and up todate blockchain ready to go and a free Trezor device  Grin

I think it is a great news https://twitter.com/coinbase/status/492347634682576896
Dell offering 10% discount when purchasing Alienware with Bitcoin. Hope they spread this to other Dell products.

So Alienware now accepts Bitcoin! https://twitter.com/Alienware/status/492351443899138048
I know this would make sense as Alienware is Dell.
I think it's not bad. although in my country is not that great a fan of dell, they prefer the Sony or apple

Sony laptop :\ hmm
Sony...Apple...of course Apple...Sony was good 10 years ago but now...not

good news, another company accept bitcoin as payment options for their product
but using coinbase as payment processor means they will immediately sell that bitcoin to receive cash
10% is good offer, but Alienware is too expensive i think, compare to another competitor who offer same specs / maybe better
how about outside US, do they still offer this promotion?
hope this news make bitcoin more exposed

I'll be waiting till that moment when apple will do this

One step at a time first from denial blocking it from their app store to ignoring it I guess we skipped ridicule and went straight back to acceptance.
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”

Either way I'm sure apple will get to it sooner or later unless their board is nothing without jobs lol.

Yeah, alienware stuff is way overprices already. If you build the same computer from components, you save more than the 10%.

And you can buy all the parts from Newegg with BTC  Grin

All our guys have high end ASUS

Never had a dell never will

True enough been loving my ASUS has a great balance to cost ratio
LG as well but that is as an aside.
Although an alienware might be a bit tempting if not overpriced though.

Title should be: "Dell offering 10% discount when purchasing Alienware with Bitcoin"

I do hope they find it a success and have similar offers for their other products as a result.

At least dell is smart enough to accept bitcoins. I think all IT and PC harware stores and manufacturers should accept bitcoins, since they can understand how it works and it's clear that bitcoins are the future, take it or leave it, but it will be too late very soon when prices will be so sick.

They announced it on the 19th, not yesterday. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/2014-07-19-computer-giant-dell-now-accepts-bitcoin-700537 . Look at the charts, go back to the 19th and notice the price went up to 630, look at it now.

I was just looking at the Twitter topic posted in the OP.  I didn't know they announced it the 19th, but some other guy was arguing with me the other day about the price dropping over the last 5 hours or something, and it had gone up $20 bucks and I was confused...

Anyway yes it looks like the price went down since the 19th
