These BBC people are really pathetic. Earlier they were saying: "It is going to be a 51-49 result, so Tsiparas can't really claim that a majority of the people voted for NO". Now they are saying: "40% is a huge number. Tsiparas has to remember that 40% of the Greeks voted NO". WTF?
More than 22.5% of the votes have been counted so far, and the trend is clear (61 vs 39). I believe that the NO camp has won a huge victory, in the range of 20-22 points.
Either way let's not jump to conclusions until it's all over alright?

Yeah the BBC are a joke, I try to keep an open mind but I'm just turning off all the live broadcasts now until the vote is actually over, you can only ever trust numbers with this kind of thing, like I said, we had to deal with all this bullshit throughout the scottish referendum, blatantly biased.

I expected it to be closer than that. Before the referendum started everyone said it was 50/50. If the final results mirror the preliminary results then it's a clear majority in favor of no. It will be fascinating to find out what the exact final count will be.

It's propaganda, the BBC is trying to declare a winner already too, it's to try and sway people into voting the way they want.

, however I also think we should expect the end of the referendum.It's not mind control more like scare mongering, quite a lot of people vote opportunistically, so either they'll vote for who's going to win or who's going to give them the most, it also scares people away from voting a certain way, so saying yes has one will mean no voters might not go out.

The preliminary results seems to be in line with the exit poll results. Big relief for Tsiparas. Headache for frau Merkel and Hollande.

Exactly, wait for all the votes to come in before jumping to conclusions.
We had a very close run with the Scottish referendum and it was basically when parliament ran a smear campaign against the independence movement that switched things around quite a lot.

Those are official exit polls, we won't see shit from official numbers just yet, it will be until about 10:00pm or midnight when all the votes have been counted.

Woow, thanks for the link it is really interesting. I am really excited to see what the Greek people will choose... not also for the question of bitcoin price but also because I live in Europe.

The first official results will be released by 9:30 pm Greek time (7:30 pm British time). By that time, 30% of the votes will be counted, and these figures will give us a clear trend. BTW, the voter turnout was exceptionally high, probably crossing the 70% mark. And meanwhile, all the exit polls are giving advantage to a NO vote.
Thanks for the link, that's going to be more reliable than the BBC I should probably stick to CNBC/RT because the BBC have been getting worse and worse lately.
