...20 chips to Burnin, so who will be given the rest of them Sebastian, those 10?

I would like to wait for zefir so we can speak about it. It looks like i could spread 10 chips. If zefir would send chips to bkkcoins 16, marto74 2 and allten 2 (1 private) remaining 9 i could give one chip to each:
daemondazz
bcdev
flyonwall
szym00
innovina
hf_developer
evilscoop
sensei
DaGreatRV
villex

So at least everyone who applied for a sample successfully could get one sample and could make the most tests with it. When the remaining chips arrive all devs will have enough anyway...

ESD-Workspace and working with pincette. ASIC's were in normal Envelopes, on a tray and the tray wrapped in cellophane.

Size-Comparision of the chips.

Tray alone with the 20 chips for burnin.

Burnins chips on the tray + silica gel, wrapped with cellophane (i hope thats ok because otherwise they didnt remain on their places in the tray). Then put in esd-bags. Later put it in bubble envelope.

30 samples were delivered... 20 samples are on its way to burnin... Unfortunately i was 2 minutes too late at the post counter so it will be taken tomorrow from that branch. This way sending via express didnt make sense anymore... so it should be with burnin the day after tomorrow... Smiley

I worked with antistatic workspace and pincette. I really hope i did everything correctly. Ill post later some pictures of the chips. They are really awful tiny.

The other chips i will package today after checking back with zefir.

@krasnolud... as far as i understand it burnin doesnt need a full board to prove his design. He can make nearly all tests with one chip and chip communication tests with another chip. So i think he will be able to test his design fine.
"Nearly all" isn't good enough. Smiley
I'm sure we all (I mean 95% of us here Wink ) would feel much better if Burnin could build and run the entire device (Bitburner X at least).

Nearly all means one chip. The remaining tests can be done with the second chip.

You can ask burnin yourself if you dont believe it. But it looks like Yufi will send out 30 chips per batch now anyway. Lets see how it turns out.

Don't forget that burnin will get sample chips also from other group buys, so he should have enough for one XX miner.

I'd suggest changing the delivery address for batch 5 Smiley Send them to a family member nearby or something.

I already speak with 3 companies that regularly import things. I will make a contract with them to deliver the chips to me. The companies will help to speed up customs because for private person customs can take up to 14 days.
I only can change the addresses for the whole account.

Just a suggestion (I have none in these batches so please feel free to ignore) but since the majority of people plan to use burnin's services, does it make sense to ensure that he has enough to finish his prototypes?
It would make perfect sense as Sebastian stated that 95% of chips from his group buy go to Burnin.

Interesting idea to send the chips directly to burnin because it really looks like the most chips would go to burnin anyway. Though his company is new and small. I wonder if he could handle customs fast. But i will send them a pm simply to check this option out.

Do you mean 95% of samples? If yes, I have a question why? Smiley
It would be better that other developers may have the possibility to check if their implementation of 'Bit Minner' works. Also we should split samples through many developers to have some backup in case of someone's failure... what if Burnin will not complete his device... then e.g. BkkCoins could be another source of this or other electronics engineer.

Dont worry. I think one chips is needed and a second chip is good for a developer. Anything more is luxus that isnt really needed to test. So i would like to see that as many developers as possible will be able to test their design so that the options for the community are a good number.

As long as Burnin gets around 30 chips, everything is fine. He needs one prototype finished 10 chip and 20 chip to make people happy, if you ask me.

All good folks...

So now everyone will be happy Smiley now it is time to wait for those samples and of course for the Batch#1...

All good folks...

seems to be some miscommunication here.

the people handling this just took all the people who ordered, and sent them 30 chips a person since they finally arrived, I've spoken to them and this issue is addressed, so all should be fine.

of course, the 30 chip per 10,000 rule still holds, it's just they'll show up later.

I mean it's kinda silly to do per address since people would just get more addresses or split their orders into single 10,000 orders...
