Disappointing Cry:  Asus Dual GTX 1060 3 GB, Hynix, stock bios, eth:Ubiq, 15 MH stock, 17.8 OC @67% power.  There is not a drop in MH with the drop in power.

Update your driver, or uninstall with GUU ( or DUU I dont remember ) then reinstall ur driver back, it should solve the problem.

so drivers will fix the Hynix memory problem?

With Nvidia, memory type are not relevant as the 4xx and 5xx AMD series.

Usually when you have a strangely low hashrate, it is highly related to driver issues.

Try to uninstall them first with the program quote above, install latest driver, and try back in stock mode. We will see how it goes after that.
It seems that you just have no experience with nvidia 1060. The difference between samsung and micron/hynix on memory intensive algos is huge: 19vs25 in Eth

GTX 1060 3GB - OC 60% TDP 17Mh/s eth. I am sure I should be able to squeeze a bit more, only got the card a few days ago.

Where's your download link and what's the SP-mod?

SP-mod is a custom mode of open source miners with performance enhancement. It is sold with donations Smiley
I personally prefer open source versions.

I have just released a new Monero miner. Profitable on on the gtx 1060 (3gb)

Preresults:

gpu 0: Gigabyte g1 gaming (micron memory)
gpu 3: Inno3d 1070 (samsung memory)
gpu 4: Gainward 1060 3gb (samsung memory)

https://i.imgur.com/R3ozqLj.png

I have also tested on the 980ti (g1 gaming) and get around 700h/s
With max oc I get 814H/s with samsung memory cards (gtx 1070).

With the sp-mod, monero is more profitable than zcash and ethereum

See if there is a bios update for your card and make sure you're on the latest drivers.

Some have reported increased hash rate on hynix memory cards after bios updates. But even so, you're still not going to see 22+...

Thank you for your contribution. As surprising as it is, not so many people posted the hashrates they get. Could you please give me what you can get on Groestl and Neoscrypt ?

ccminer 1.8.1 benchmark, 368.95 drivers

Groestl: 25.94

Neoscrypt: 662.61

LBRY seems to be the most profitable now, unless there are some other undiscovered coins that I don't know.

Thanks for that. Going to invest in 2 1060 6GB cards for so.e hobby mining :-)

Hi all
I'm new of this great forum and I would like some advice from you.

I've a Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB Windforce, perform more ore less 23 Mh/s with Claymore 9.8 (overclocked a little bit)

I would like to take another 1060 but with 6GB. As per budget and prices, I've some options:

MSI GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G OCV1

Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce

PALIT VGA Palit GTX1060 6GB dual BULK

Or.. any from you...

Which is the best buy for this purpose? I'm with domestic mining, not any rig (actually).

Thank you

Ok, thank you.. but my request was about the brand.. which is, about experience and attitude, the best or if there some way to know if there are Samsung memory on board?
I think I will go with MSI...

I'm running 7 msi gaming 1060 x 6g cards.
windows 10 anniversary edition
376.09 geforce driver
afterburner settings: +140 core clock, +950 mem clock.
dual mining eth/sia
only setting changed from default in miner: -dcri is set to 46
average effective hashrate for last 24 hours for eth according to ethermine.org is 167.7 MH/S (averaging 152.83 shares per hour)
calculated average hashrate for last 24 hours for sia according to nanopool.org is 2640.9 MH/S (averaging 61.7 shares per hour)
i'm calculating shares per hour by the info given in claymore (total shares divided by number of hours its been running). nanopool is reporting that i'm getting about 3 or slightly more times that number of shares of sia per hour.
rig drawing 1130 watts.

i just started running claymore 10. previous claymore did seem slightly more stable, but v10 has only been running for 23 hours.
a notable improvement with claymore 10 is that at 23 hours, i have 0 rejected shares of either eth or sia. I was getting 1 and rarely even a second rejected eth share every 1000 accepted shares with previous claymore.

any questions or tips/advice are appreciated.

Hey m8, there's something very wrong with your rig. I've 5x1060 6g doing 108MH/s ETH (dualmining DCR) with a power draw 630W. Do you think that 500W difference is acceptable by having just 2 more cards?
Is it profitable that way?

As it is, the rig is profitable. Of course I'd love it to be more profitable. I'm always looking around for ways to get more out of this. What hash rate are you getting in DCR while doing 108 in ETH? And what miner and afterburner settings are you using?

Also, I did switch back to previous Claymore. 10 kept crashing and currently I've got no rejected shares of either coin at 44hrs. My 24hr effective average for ETH is 165.6 and 2775.2 for SC

i'm running 2 rigs off of zotac 1060's from newegg. they work just like every other 1060 i've used.

i didn't check the memory type, but took afterburner, 70% power limit, +600 memory. 23mh/s. each rig can run on an 850 watt power supply and eats 560w from the wall for 6 cards.

i can go higher on some of the cards, but typically too lazy to optimize each card on each machine. i just pick a peaceful number like 600 and move on.

anyone managed to hit +1000 mem clock OC? That's the Afterburner limit for Nvidia cards.

Currently on +750 and 25MH/s on Claymore 10.0
Afterburner no limit OC for nvidia cards, here i use 1000+ and no problem, system stable.

Not all Nvidia cards.
Try OCing GTX1060 with Hynix memory and your miner will crash when you OC it at +500 to +600
