I have both 1080 Ti and 1080 on the same rig. The 1080 hashrate is in average, about 70% of the 1080 Ti.
These days, with inflated price of 1080 Ti, the choice isn't that obvious anymore...
I also have 1070. To be honest, I don't think the 1070 is a clear winner over 1080 if you do hashrate/$ or hashrate/W. Once again, it also depends on algorithms.

Gtx 1080 ti is better than gtx1080. Ti performance is better on games and mining.

The Ti's are always going to be a little better than the original.
That's both in hashing power and cooling.
The brand also makes a difference.

TI for certain is going to perform better but also the additional price of the TI should be factored in when making your decision.
