No contest the 1070 is easily the best hash/cost all around performer from Nvidia GTX 10 series GPU's, especially on ETH.

108ti - 37 MH/s
1070 - 31-32 MH/s
1080 - 25 MH/s
1060 - 22 -23 MH/s.

The only reason to buy a 1080ti is if you want to maximize the total hash from a couple of rigs and don't care what you pay per GPU.

lol on ETH yes, but you don't mine ETH with nvidia, you mine zen or zcash or zcashclassic or lbry, and the 1080ti is very good there 60-70% faster than a 1070, 1060 is abd overall bad density very low ahshrate, bad efficiency

Not true at all.  The hash per cost efficiency of a 1060 is much better than a 1080 Ti. At 60% TDP the GTX 1060 3GB cards do 260 H/s on Equihash using 60 W each and only need a single 8-pin connector. At a cost of $200 each that's 0.77 cents per hash. On Equihash the 1080 Ti does 750 H/s at 250W and at $700 each, that's 0.93 cents per hash. Three 1060 3GB cards would do 810 H/s using 180W, outperforming and costing less than a single $700 1080 Ti. With the three 1060's you also have the option of mining ETH at 65 MH/s for 3 cards vs 37 MH/s for a 1080 Ti.

You're forgetting one thing. The 1060's are weaksauce, so you need many of them, hence need for more mobos, PSUs, CPUs etc etc. You need to break down the costs of extra hardware too, you know.

As I was writing in another thread, the shortest ROI can be achieved with 1080's. The 1080Ti will hash ~25% faster but costs 40% more.

Just don't mine ETH. Mine Skein or LBRY or Equihash, whatever works best at that point in time.

Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform
The only cards available with my shop right now are:

MSI Geforce GTX 1070 Quick Silver 8G OC
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0
MSI GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G

I believe the best one is the EVGA, but the max power draw is 215W, so that's way too much.

I thinking of the MSI Armor one, simply because it's 50 dollars cheaper than the other MSI.

Anyone have any opinions on those cards?

Thanks

Nvidia cards work well with a TDP of 60% - 70% without a noticeable drop in hash. You can lower the TDP on Nvidia cards using MSI Afterburner or EVGA precision. The MSI Armor series are the the basic no-frills pieces from MSI. No backplate, aluminum heat pipes, open frame dual-fan design and they run hotter than other cards. I would go with the cheaper one between the other two cards, they are about the same.

go with the ftw they are unbelievable i have one rig at 50 percent tdp, neg 200 core , plus 600 mem doing 29.8 eth
on all cards at a total system wattage for 730, on 240v that would be like 90w per card, dual mining same settings 28
msh and 350 sia 850 watts.

crazy cards , in comparison 480 rig does 900 watt and 1100 watt respectively

Hi all,

Just got an email from my local computer parts shop and they won't be able to fulfill my RX570 order. So I decided, instead of waiting till God knows when Radeons will be available again, build a NVIDIA rig.

I currently just have 2000 bucks to buy VGAs. That got me 6 radeons and we know these Nvidia are more expensive.

So, my question is, which card do you guys suggest I go that will give me the best bang for the buck and fastest ROI for my 2k investment?

I will be focusing on Ethereum.

Thanks yall
