I think you gave a try to this thread which was deleted after because sharing phishing links is prohibited on the forum. You might have found it before it got deleted and gave it a try in the hope of earning free money but dear keep one thing in mind there is nothing like free money in the world.

Even if you think airdrops gave us free money, no they don't give free money, they will ask you to do activities or make transactions which will have high fees, etc. The point is, nothing is free and you thought money would be free and not a lesser amount, directly 0.2 BTC will be given to you for free.

If I were at your place I would have reported that thread to the moderator or left a post there for newbies to avoid this link. Sometimes your devices get compromised just by clicking on these links, I know that because I have experienced how things work and how fast they work. Its good you did not deposit on the website otherwise your funds would be gone and who knows they might have some access to your device.

Scammers uses these rewards as baits to entice their victims before they scam them, they come in different forms and the OPs experience is one of them. Personally I don't trust anything online freebies, or rewards for something that I didn't work for.

I always believe that nobody will give you anything for free online, because from people's experiences, it's always potentials for scams. As a matter of fact I did my due diligence, before adopting bitcoin, also before I joined this forum, because I've trained myself to always be skeptical about anything online sites, meetings or transactions.

Most times it's greed and ignorance that drives people to fall victims to these scammers devices, they only realize after the scammers have stolen far more than they promised to give.

Admit it to the OP, did you want to try your luck ? The amount of the bonus is impressive, and many were probably tempted by it by sending a certain amount and their documents, which, in principle, was what this site was after. But if you saw that scammers were playing with you, why didn't you leave immediately? Have you ever thought that in the hunt for a bonus, you will be given a link that will give scammers information about you for free in the future? People quickly forget that there are many ways to penetrate other people's data online as soon as any bonuses start winking at them.

 That site is already known as a crypto scam. To safeguard himself from online frauds  OP should get into  a habit  to find out all the whole truth and inside facts  of any unknown site that offers  financial  service. It took me a few seconds to send query to search engine and get the following information that would stop me if I wanted to proceed with that site.

This is just a mess and it is an obvious deceit which op was able to understand before it get too late. There are so many scam sites online like exchanges that claim to reward customers and if they are able to get hold of the funds, they would have no option that to claim the money without refunding. It's very important for us to stay safe and do anything possible to make sure that we don't get scammed by online platforms that claimed to compensate us for using there services and eane more than what we expected to earn.

This is one of the phishing scams. A lot of people are victims of such scams, where they are given offers like thousands of dollars that they don't want to ignore or refuse, and a thought comes into their minds that they should give it a try, but at the end, when they start asking for deposits, etc. Then still, most of the newbies, even the experts, began to think that a small amount of around $10 to $50, whatever it would be, By the way, you did not mention how much they were asking you to deposit.

We think that the amount is small and the reward is big, so we should take the risk, and after losing the amount, we regret what we did.

You did great to stop yourself at the very point of deposit because you at first might fall for it as you have already given the details, and when they asked you for money, you realized it was fake. If it were me, I would call it fake when I see a whopping reward of 0.2 BTC.

the referral bonus promising 0.2 BTC just for using a promo code it's an obvious scam. Did you really expect them to be that generous? Your attempt to withdraw the money surprised me what were you thinking initially? If you were a Bitcoin newbie, you could have easily ended up losing money. The advice is simple, stay away from offers that seem too good to be true, requiring no effort or cost. They might be scams, and it's not worth testing their legitimacy.

The tricks carried out by fraudsters on this website are very tempting for beginners who are just making Cryptocurrency transactions, they will think that 0.2 BTC is theirs after successfully registering on the website. Fortunately, you are already familiar with Cryptocurrency and really understand this type of trick.
Nothing is free, let alone the figure reaching 0.2 BTC, of course they will ask potential victims to deposit a certain amount of BTC to claim the BTC on the website. These kind of scans are common and rampant and it take greedy fellows to fall for it when it is obvious that there's nothing like charity money in the internet, every money you are allowed access to you must have worked hard for it.

Common knowledge should detect this technique to you as a scam.  There's no free not minding the amount how much more 0.2btc. Any withdrawal process online that ask you to deposit a certain amount before you could be eligible to withdraw the total is a pure scam and we should learn to dislodge from joining/clicking unrecognized and suspecting groups/sites they are  the genesis of getting scammed. Lastly, strictly avoid doing kyc too.

Haha, it's a very old scam where they show you a reward and ask you to put a small amount of yours like 10% of the amount shown in this case and when you deposit, you never get your money or reward back. That's gone once you pay. Also, I have mentioned it various times earlier and will repeat it - Nothing is free in this world.

Also, never do KYC on any platform until and unless it's very important and you have your money stuck.

You should have reported the website. Moreover you shouldn't have given out any information's like name, date of birth etc. 0.2 BTC, is too good to be true. Are you kidding me? If that were true, I would have opened account using all my family members, all relatives and friends. Within a week, I would have had 1 BTC, Lol.

Earning from online is not that easy. And free money? Huh..there is no free money in online. Yesterday I registered a account on a exchange. As a new user I got 17$ bonus. But the minimum withdrawal amount was 20$. So If I wanna withdraw, I have to either do a KYC, or deposits an amount or trade, which I don't plan to do. So yes, as you can see, it's a scheme to lure users to give out informations or money.

I think you got the 0.2 BTC for signing up on the platform and not for referrals because you haven't referred anyone yet or did you? There's no free money online, and whenever something like this pops up, there's always a catch. Sadly, some persons will be carried away by the huge amount, especially persons that like freebies. They will submit their KYC documents and make a deposit of the 0.005 BTC, only for the scammer to collect the money and still sell their data on the dark web.

There are thousands of such scam sites out there. I saw some day's ago a scam exchange site they brought bounty campaign for bounty hunters. They offered the bounty hunters such offers that the bounty hunters acted upon. They paid 5 to 100 USD per week to each participant on their website. It was mentioned there that minimum 100 USD can be withdrawn. When the bounty hunters had 100 USD in their wallets, they had to deposit a minimum of 1 USD in their exchange wallet when they went to withdraw. Many people made deposits as per their terms but later they got scammed. They are not allowed to withdraw. I've provided proof here along with the bounty link for those watching to see that Allready has eaten three negative tags. But you all be careful no one will ever do this kind of scam remember one thing no one can ever earn money without hard work those who offer money without hard work you will they are the godfather of scam.

These scam sites are commonplace on the internet no matter where you find them, as scammers will continue to spread what they can including trying to message you via Telegram or Discord.

Just be careful now, you don't need to sign up for anything because this is clearly a scam and you know it.

It's obvious that is a scam sites. As we all know that no one can give you an amount of money for free. Which pretty obvious that it's a trap and also they gave you an big amount but you need to deposit first before you can withdraw which means that is a big questions why should someone ask you a deposit smaller amount that he gave you?
But for sure this sites have many victims and for sure those greedy gamblers only think an easy money they will fall into this trap.

These scammers aren't relenting because there are other people out there that are busy falling into their hands. This amount of money is not a small one. Besides, I don't believe that any site can give someone free money if the person does not promote them just like that.
The free 0.2 BTC is enough reason to know that they, while on the site, are scamming both the site domains.
We should just be watchful of them and never try those sites or suspicious links. Moreover, scammers will always look for means to scam people even with their last breath.
Besides, you also entangled yourself with them as you have verified your information through the KYC, unless you gave them fake information.

You wasted valuable time and may have contributed to increased traffic for these scammers but it is too good to be true. If every promotional link was worth more than $5000, we would all be rich. I don't know why these services keep appearing. Perhaps they are trying to exploit some people's affection, but it takes a very good person to believe them. ADD them link to report it.

What happened there is just very simple. It's a broker site owned by just one person or group of scammers. You created your account, and they got notification for your account creation. They generated a code and sent it over to your dashboard, where they could have just manually topped up your account, but they didn't let it look like a scam to you. Now they offer you a promo code and let it appear as if you are a lucky person to receive that bonus, and they don't do it for everyone.
 
That amount is just what they wanted you to see, and your KYC is not that important to them; all they need to do is use that deposit and convince you that you have it all to yourself. The KYC is just to convince you a little further that they are real, and they want to make sure you are real too.

Applying for the KYC in the first place alone means you are already falling for their scam scheme. Assuming you proceed with the deposit, you could have just been paying for things that you don't know until you realise it's a scam, and then they move on to another person.
 
We already know that no one is giving out any free money on the internet right now, and trying to chase such will only lead one to get scammed out of the little they have. When you come across such a website, the best thing to do is to ignore it, click on any kind of link, and proceed with registration.

You are risking your own security, as you don't know what kind of link it is and what came with the email verification link they might also send to you, which could be used to bridge any of your personal info in your device, be it wallet or other personal data, and then again, you just handed your email over to scammers, so be ready to be receiving series of scam emails from unauthorised senders from now on.

The first time I read this scheme was 4 or 5 years ago it's on a casino platform, they can change it to an exchange, investment platform online store, or just about anything where you can need to withdraw funds, the platforms that do this are newly created or new platforms they promote the free money as their launching bonus.
If you never read this scheme and you are greedy you can easily fall into this scheme, the rule of thumb is when they ask you to deposit first before you can withdraw the free money it's 100% scam, there's no such thing as free money on the internet.
I doubt if this kind of scheme will vanish they are here to stay with a new twist or new scheme but with the same method and we have to keep exposing it because scammers never get tired of creating or relaunching their scheme to scam people.

So you're trying to test this scam site with a primary email and password that you use frequently on other legitimate platforms? Unfortunately if you did that you should have done a random email and random password because scam platforms like this never ask for any verification.

It is possible that now your email is in the hands of scammers and then misused or continue to spam your email, this is a concern because they will always try to access your data from your own toledoran.

Regarding platform sites that offer promotional codes of up to 0.2 BTC it is bullshit, there are no other platforms with big prizes, this will not be true.
