The community that we have here will really help you and also we are expecting something on you that you should contribute to this forum's growth.

I know that all of us are hungry about the cryptocurrency knowledge, blockchain technology, investments, and etc., but you should do it without violating anything.

Just prove what you can do and what you can help to other users and also don't be shy to communicate in any threads that you are interested.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Knowledge Base, here are the past and present lives of the Bitcoin you want, (of course, including me), there are two suggestions, read more than replies, don’t plagiarize, because plagiarism is zero tolerance in Bitcoin forums. Will be laughed at. So, let's cheer together and turn knowledge into our own (the senior members of the forum are selfless and will point out our mistakes) Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Hello everyone

I am a newbie here and I don't really seem to understand the environment so well. Can anyone help me with brief guides especially on the DOs and DON'Ts. I'll gladly appreciate it.
I suppose you've gotten some of the best responses that you should @OP and I suggest you should start at that point. Don't over rush yourself to follow, its a step by step thing and gradually, you would be better acquinted to the forum and the bitcoin or crypto community.

I'll like to add that, in course of your journey here, you should do your best to be you. In bitcointalkforum, originality is valued above all else. Hopefully, staying you doesn't mean, if you are are cheater, then you should try to cheat or scam other users, No! You just ensure your contents are your perceptions about them and should you have a line of your content fron someone else, do well to reference it.

Again, there are boards on the forum and the discussions that suits in them are designated as such. So, you would do your best to acknowledge them and apportion your contributions as such to avoid spamming and off topic posts.

Your welcome to the forum!

Study the Meta board I think it is very useful to newbies to look at that board especially the sticky topics in there that is where all the essential information on the forum is. I recommend reading the trading discussion sub forum and reputation which will teach you about the things which will get you negative trust most of it is common sense but always worth a read.

have you Zedpastin ever heard of an unofficial forum rule "burstposting"?
it's a way of spam posting when someone writes a post every 2 minutes, and each post is mostly offtopic. have you ever noticed such a poster?

Not sure he's a real rookie.

From the initial post he knows all about Altcoins, projects, blocks and investors, newbies visiting from 0 don't know about this.

Altcoins have lost its value in recent times with many block chain being permissionless. May at times projects are being promoted with the notion that notable programers, technologists are behind such projects. Sooner than later it'd be discovered that most names are just published to lure innocent investors.

OP, are you pretending to ask, you should have read all the topics in the beginners & Help section.

there are hundreds of the same questions in the beginners & Help section.

experienced members from the forum usually try to hunt merits in the Beginners & Help section, useful posts or posts where the desire for knowledge is expressed have a much better chance of getting some merit, rather than any "proof of auth" post.
yet I think that in this case, the OP is just too young, and he's just not sure how to behave here.

Guides are so simple. Don't do anything which you would not do in real life. Do whatever you can do in real life, the same rules are here and there.
as in your environment, good manners and a fair attitude will be recognized, while disrespect and a bad relationship will not bring you much here.

Aside from plagiarism. Dont do spam and avoid posting nonsense topic. It will be subjected to such punishment like temp ban, deletion of post, or worst permanent ban.

A forum is made for discussion so avoid making your account a business one for earning money. What Im trying to say is since you are a newbie then focus on doing what other newbies doing like learning the process here. If you do that then thats great.

The Bitcointalk "environment" is pretty much just like the "environment" of any other legacy online forum out there in terms of rules and how it works in general(think gaming forums in the early 2010s era), just a bit stricter when it comes to plagiarism(because of the freakishly high amounts of spammers).

Welcome to the forum.

In this section, (Beginners & Help) you will find valuable information that you are looking for, the dos and don'ts are most likely we will find out on the sticky thread or the pinned post on each section and visit on Meta section for the unofficial forum rules.  I advise you to keep more reading than posting, it always has an advantage if we have knowledge regarding the forum rules and any function that we can freely do.

Exploring and reading even 2-3 weeks might you have an idea and understand guidelines in the forum, and see you around.
