The OP should ask to get their username changed to “iboughtmyhomewithbtc” as they have already reached their goal and they need to reflect this on their username as well,

Yeah I wanted to change my username but some members told me that it is not possible anymore. Once upon a time it was possible if you paid 50 BTC  Grin Grin Grin

LOL at that meme, as it nearly describes my situation (though I wasn't into bitcoin in the very early days).

In any case, I'm happy that it doesn't apply to you, OP.  I think it's freakin' fantastic you were able to finance a home using bitcoin!  I had this section on ignore and thus missed your thread here, but you have my belated congratulations.  To all the unbelievers, bitcoin is real money and does have real value, regardless of whether the seller of the house accepted it outright.

I love threads like these.  They warm my blackened heart, they do.

Thank you for your message!
Definitely, Bitcoin is real money, and I believe the value of BTC is still very underestimated.

Anyway, regarding that meme, I hope that it was a nice car and you don't regret you purchase ! We had another member in this topic which was saying that his friend bought the most expensive computer ever back in the time, would be curious to know which amount of BTC he paid for this computer!

To hold bitcoin is not a difficult task, but majority doesn't have the patience. Here OP have followed it well and the patience have brought his dream come true at the earliest. If I'm not wrong, OP have used it at the right time. If not achieving the dream could've got delayed.

Yeah I was definitely very lucky when I sold some sats, it was almost at ATH and at the moment I was full of doubts. We never know when Bitcoin will stop pumping, but at a point I needed to secure some profits. Regarding 2022 and 2023, yeah, you're right, if I haven't sold my BTC at (almost) ATH, I would have to wait some more time, the market was pretty difficult last year.

Wish you all success with your holdings guys!

I sincerely want to thank you all, I guess for most of you it doesn't mean much, but some of you helped me change my life, and even all the Merits in the world wouldn't be enough to show my gratitude.
I will spend my time as much as possible to give back to the community, to the begginers starting their Bitcoin journey. I am not the most knowledgeable but I will try to learn more each day, and to share what I know when I could help.
Congratulations op and I want to thank Bitcoin for your Achievement. Your story inspire us and I also have a dream to buy home like you and I am working hard to fullfil my dream. It's nice to hear from you that you are going to contribute in this forum then beginners will also be able to watch dreams like you.
Those would have not invested in Bitcoin now or before now might still be thinking maybe nothing is happening in the cryptocurrency world.
We need to know what we are doing or else we are going to keep complaining while other people are investing in the future. The best thing we can do for ourselves now is to invest in the future and we all going to live a better lifestyle in time soon.

Congratulations OP, you can be so proud of what you’ve achieved, at still a young ago too. Good or you, young man. I really do enjoy reading success stories on the forum about people really achieving goals through bitcoin.
Please continue to hang around the forum, it’s a much better place with people like yourself.

Exactly. We need this kind of people in the forum as they bring positive energy to all of us. Thank you for the inspiration OP and congrats on your new achievement. It’s always my dream to have my own house and until now, I’m still working on it. Hope you will continue to inspire others like you inspire mine. And for that, we should be grateful to bitcoin always.

Bitcoin To The Moon 📈📈📈
Although am late here, I must say the sound is good. Congratulations on your achievement! While I haven't yet purchased a house with cryptocurrency, I have begun building my own using earnings from my crypto investments. By buying and selling Bitcoin multiple times for a profit, I was able to accumulate a substantial amount of money and build up my portfolio. As a result, I've sold a portion of my portfolio and have begun constructing my own home. I'm hopeful that it will be finished within the next 4-5 months, and I'm thrilled to be able to use my cryptocurrency earnings to build a home for myself. Overall, I'm feeling quite happy about the situation.
We have been motivated a lot by being successful people thanks to bitcoin who have achieved being able to build their dreams, especially in building a house for your small family, but not only say to OP but I also say to you that you will soon reach completion to build a house with the estimated time you mentioned, and to be honest it's the same here, I also sometimes take part of the portfolio for home needs because it's an important thing, but I think it's quite successful, how do we trade or invest in bitcoin and always take opportunities at the right time.

To hold bitcoin is not a difficult task, but majority doesn't have the patience. Here OP have followed it well and the patience have brought his dream come true at the earliest. If I'm not wrong, OP have used it at the right time. If not achieving the dream could've got delayed.
It's true that it's not an easy task holding bitcoins, sometimes we are also influenced by outside news which makes them sell bitcoins blindly in the sense of fear of big losses, even though if we look in more detail, we should be able to buy again, not sell, but that's not the same for some investors, but if you the old holder will be victorious as the saying goes.

Same here, although I did not buy the car with 100% BTC, I used BTC converted to fiat to finance about a third of it in 2021 and the money came from a sales in a wide range of 25-50k as I was doing a reverse DCA. Anyway, the average price was probably 35k, so it was possible to get 2x out of it and get the car with half spending only half of the bitcoin that I did.
It wasn't a Ford though, I feel like that's an achievement all things considered.

I still did better than my friend who bought a computer in 2016 by selling some of his bitcoin. It came out to be one of the most expensive computers in the world as the price was around $500.

Congratulations on the house, OP!

Congratulations on having your new home. A shelter to stay is much important in everyone's life. The same achieved through bitcoin is really great and boost more people to have confidence in the growth of bitcoin. Many people have achieved different things through bitcoin, not everyone share it.

I had sold some of my BTC back in November 2021, and since that moment I was waiting to find the right opportunity, the right house. Now it's done, I've found it and I am more than happy to know that I own this security.

I started out with just a backpack, a few hundred dollars and an old Thinkpad. I spent hours, dozens of hours reading about BTC and economy, lurking here, without even having an account for most of the time. Back in the time, I had sold some of my BTC after a pump to get a place to live (I mean to be able to rent an stable apartment and stopping to sleep in a fucking Citroen C3, or shitty Airbnbs), to get a degree and especially to buy some Antminers.

All of you here, regular and quality contributors, you and Bitcoin have allowed me to have a degree, a job I love, two years of wonderful travels, and finally the security of a home.

Congratulations, you made a wise decision by selling Bitcoin near the top. I think the biggest portion of holders failed to sell at or near the top as you did, and that happens in every cycle. Actually, the person needs to be very skilled with a lot of knowledge to time the market, and as you described, you spent hours learning and gaining knowledge about the market and Bitcoin cycles, so you well deserved it. May you achieve more than what you did, as the meaning of life lies in finding new targets and working to achieve them. However, Bitcoin can still be profitable in my opinion, thus your remaining BTC will help you somehow in the future.did
I also liked how you strive to have an educational degree, which means you don't see your value in only the money and properties that you have, but in the level of education and culture you reach, which I believe will add to your life and facilitate the overcoming of many hurdles that face you in the future.

This is amazing news! People should be celebrating each others life achievement, it is one of the most important things in any persons life and an amazing feeling as well. I believe that the best thing to do would be making sure that you should be living a life where you are doing as well as hoped for.

I believe that the best things are better when shared and joy is one of them. I share your joy OP and I hope that you will do much bigger things in the future. You have the path and the roadmap and I hope that you do as well as you could ever hope for, that would be lovely thing. I know it is not easy but I know that it is going to be easier with the right tools, which is bitcoin.

Many Congratulations to you OP. I think it’s a good achievement that you’re a home owner. Now, you can save up on the money formerly used in paying rent. And I know how renting can be a huge strain on ones finances.
I think it’s also great that you did so with the help of bitcoin. You can add this to the list of achievements bitcoin has started to and would later help you achieve.

While bitcoin has helped you achieve your goal of having your own home, I think you also did a good job in holding  onto bitcoin that ultimately helped you pay for your home cause not everyone has perseverance holding onto bitcoin for the long run.
Congratulations

Congratulations to you because you have already fulfilled your dream of buying a house with Bitcoin. It's great to hear that your dream came true. Because if someone's dream is fulfilled then he knows how much happiness it takes to fulfill his dream. A big dream of mine has come true a few days ago. I am very happy because I have been able to fulfill my dream since childhood with God's blessings. But the dream you have realized is a much bigger dream for me now I hope I can fulfill it.

Thanks to all of you for these messages and good vibes, it really makes me happy to read them!
The few times I made the mistake to discuss about my plans outside of this forum, IRL, I think you can imagine the reactions I got, it wasn't really positive  Grin Feeling good reading all these messages, and really hope that all of you will be enough lucky and patient to take some good benefice from the money and time you invested in Bitcoin

Indeed Bitcoin is for more than one generation a hell of a chance, some of us were not lucky enough to be able to enjoy stocks and good rate mortgages like previous generations. It's a huge opportunity to have this network existing, even if it's risky!

I hope everyone here will reach their goals, I have read many posts that mention holding bitcoin in order to gain financial independence or at least real estate ownership. I wish you the best of luck in reaching your targets and knowing how to sell in time! This is the hard part but you have to force yourself to part with a few satoshis from time to time, even if it hurts your heart  Grin

Haha panganib999, no yacht planned for me, at least not for now haha! I have to admit that I will sell my holdings the day they will represent enough wages for the number of years of life expectancy I will have left
You have endured all hardships, hardships and limitations, continuing to keep btc no matter what. Even when it was hard for you, you didn't sell it and kept holding it. It took you years to achieve your cherished goal. Your actions are beyond praise and a role model for others. Your story is indicative of the fact that with the help of bitcoin you can close your material issues, but the path to this is not easy, and only the strong and stubborn will get what they want. In my opinion, btc is a kind of test of character for strength. Only a "strong hand" can make money with it, while "weak hands" will not hold and sell at the first panic.

Bitcoin is a unique chance that everyone can take advantage of, but not everyone will be able to achieve what they want with this. I don't believe that all owners of bitcoin will become rich and financially independent. Look at the past of btc: BTC was in the hands of many, but almost a few got rich. Therefore, only people like OP will get a good profit.

I think it's amazing that you managed to profit enough and invest enough into Bitcoin to buy your own house at such a young age. Even if you have to pay property tax in fiat, it's still a success story, and how taxes are paid is something that's up to the legislators, so it's understandable. But have you paid for the house in Bitcoin directly? Have you found someone interested in exchanging property for Bitcoin directly? Or was Bitcoin a way to accumulate funds to you, but not a means of payment? It was the former, from what I gather (not a direct payment for the house in BTC), but perhaps I got that wrong. In any case, congratulations!
Overall, it’s always a big achievement for someone to buy his own house out from his bitcoin investment. It just means that OP has been very determined to achieve his goal regardless of the price fluctuations and high volatility that bitcoin kept on experience. And to think that you have bought a real property at a very young age, well, kudos to OP. That’s everyone’s dream, and hopefully your success will always bring encouragement to everyone here, particularly for newbies.

Maybe we need to share more OP like positive stories in the crypto space, I myself have always been deeply grateful for the opportunities the school has given me. The most obvious is that it changes the quality of life in terms of material conditions, it helps me see money in a simpler way. And just like me, raising awareness needs to help people around more than just personal accumulation. And this is a truth that I see most clearly that bitcoin brings, it brings justice in life and equality of people in society.

What a fucking shame I didn't see this post right away. Anyways congratulations mans for all the blessings! I can confidently say you earned it deservedly! 5 years of grueling work without assurance for what tomorrow will bring is seriously scary, but you managed to pull through because of your sheer perseverance! No luck's involved here if I do say so myself coz rain or shine bitcoin is profitable to many, I've had a few friends get their first cars, first house and lots, and whatnot during bitcoin's lowest points, all from crypto money too, so this just means the recipe was you all along my man (or woman)! Keep up the good work and I'm hoping to get another challenge from you, maybe like a yacht bought from bitcoin money or smth lmao (just kidding, unless??)
