I have 50 of these motherboards with six 380x's each in them using NON POWERED risers. It sounds like there might be a problem with your board if you cannot get anything to work solo in the 16x slot, I would RMA it.

P.S. Run linux for your mining OS, throwing windows into the mix just adds more problems. I started out with Win10 and replaced it within a week due to all the issues it had running multiple GPUs.

Try removing the monitor cable, and rebooting. You'll need to use remote control program ( team view, chrome remote desktop, etc). Upon reboot you should be hashing at full rate
damn it works

I read in ether forums that using DisplayDriverUninstaller and Reinstalling the driver might solve the problem.

I remember that from somewhere i read that in UEFI settings choosing the pcie generation manually did some trick.
Try that aswell, Gen2 or Gen3.

I did try all possible combination Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 .....all with same result, doesn't work !!!

You don't need a new mobo ....
Replace that 2+2+1+1 memory configuration to 1 x 8GB or 16GB ( DDR3-1333, DDR3L-1333 @ 1.5V ) memm stick and you will be ok .
Let me know if it's fixed your problem :-)

Or you can try with 4GB system memory, win 10 will recognizing the gpu s , but the hashing speed is will be around 4MH/s for each gpu ...

8GB or 16GB SYSTEM MEMORY WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM !!!!

I bet you 1 btc that 4 GB is enough to work well enough  Tongue
A most plain rig with a celeron processor and 4gb ram is enough to run a miner.

Most of time 4GB is ok , but maybe not in that memory configuration Smiley 1x4 or 2x2 is fine
it worth a try ... He tried everything , new mobo , new psu , rx card straight plugged into the mobo  ...

brizio71 !
when you start the miner ( claymores ) , and your rx 480 hashing around 4MH/s what you see in the begining ?
claymore detect you card with GPU #0: Ellesmere, 3072 MB of ram available 36 compute units ,
or
claymore detect this card with GPU #0: Ellesmere, 8192 MB of ram available 36 compute units

Now I have find a stable situation using 3 GPUs (1xRX480 and 2xRX470) using RX470 as primary (before was on RX480),
I have select some PCI-e port (i.e. slot 1,3,4) all other combination doesn't work !!!

....then the problem of low hash rate was on RX470 and never on RX480

I'm waiting for a B85 Anniversary MB .....I'll let u know if this one will work fine

Have a look here:
Link to ethereum.org forum about the h97 anniversary board.

The 7th post from shawn is quit interesting. He has shut down the rig and reseated the riser-cables and power-cables a little until every card worked.

Today I have buy another PSU with same result !!!

My configuration is:

H97 Anniversary
Celeron G1840
6GB RAM (2+2+1+1)
SSD 60GB
Mars Games MP800 800W

I have try many times to clear CMOS but the GPU on PCIe x16 slot never works

At the moment 1 GPU RX480 is working but if I add second GPU RX470 is recognized by Windows 10 but have an hashrate of 4 MH/s inteast of 22 MH/s.

I have seem many RIG working with 2 PSU like mine I don't know why is a problem ....than the HP DPS-1200FB should be a platinum one too with 1200W of real power.

I have order another B85 Anniversary that will arrive tomorrow.

Can you tell us more about how your 2 psu's are connected to the cards and the board? Its not a good idea to feed 12 volts through the PCIe slot with PSU 1 and having another PSU connected to a powered Riser cable (thats like 2 different 12V rails for the PCIe slot). I always use 1 PSU for the board and its PCIe slots and the other PSU for all 6 pin pcie power connectors. I think you have done that too, right?.

It really looks like the rx470 @ 4mhs isn't ramping up the clocks for RAM and GPU. -> It happens to me too, if I'm going to undervolt the cards to much with wattman.

Have you tried all the other 4 PCIe slots too?

I have connect 1 PSU to MB and riser card and the other to 6-8 pin PCIe GPU

Now I was able to run 3 GPU trying all different PCIe slot i find 3 that works, it seems a problem related to PCIe bridge.

Could you post your complete configuration ?
CPU
Installed mem (how much RAM you have )
Hard drive
PSU type, brand , wattage

Did you tried to clear the CMOS ? Your computer stores low-level settings like the system time and hardware settings in its CMOS ...

So are u using 2 psu for one setup ? I think that can be another problem in your case ... try one psu . With 2 psu you can kill ur mobo and your vga cards !!! If you not doing right ....

I'm almost sure you have a power issue with your setup .

Yes that's is true but I have made a simple test using a single GPU connected directly on internal PCIe x16 slot  with a single PSU and the MB never boot, same identical configuration on B85 Anniversary was worked fine

The same cable is used to power the riser, but the problem is that using the sigle GPU directly connected on PCIe x16 doesn't work !

I have no  problem on PSU is 1200W and the problem occur using 2 or more GPUs

EXACTLY THIS TWO REASON CAN BE A SIGN YOU HAVE A PSU PROBLEM , im not saying for sure , but you should try another psu , if you switched the mobo to a new one already , and the problem is still exist . OR you have a bad luck , and got a 2nd bad mobo Sad

That's sound strange because with same PSU and same GPU on B85 Anniversary all work fine !

I have 2 PSU 1 Corsair VS-430 for MB and risers cards and 1 HP  DPS-1200FB 1200W just for the 6-8 pin GPU card
