Am I correct in my understanding that you do not offer a downloaded version of the software for free which you can back test your strategy and get familiar with the software prior to purchase?

Yes that is correct. We do offer support and a user forum though.

Thanks

1. Having never used this sort of software before and being a complete novice, is Haasbot a good choice for a first time user
We have created some new bots that are ready to go out of the box. Also we have a private forum where you can ask questions and people can share strategies

2. Working on the assumption my research is correct and there is profit to be made by arb trading the assets I want too. What would be a minimum ball park figure of capital required to return enough profit to cover the initial licensing cost. 1 BTC? 10btc? 50BTC?
That would be hard to say and depend on your style of trading.

3. Auto-tune feature - Can anyone attest to the accuracy of the auto-tune feature in assisting to auto adjust your configured strategy to a nice sweet spot
This can help find a sweet spot indeed, I am bias of course.

Currently arbing between exchanges is not possible with the bot, however you could trade using a signal from poloniex on bittrex or a signal from kraken and trade on poloniex ect.

Looking for some advice with this bot.

I am without a doubt a novice trader. I have been watching a number of alt coins and believe there might be a option to make some profit by arb trading them. Having never use trading bot software before, I have spent quite some time researching what software is currently available to simplify arb trading of these assets. I have decided that the Haasbot software is the best option.

My questions are:

1. Having never used this sort of software before and being a complete novice, is Haasbot a good choice for a first time user
2. Working on the assumption my research is correct and there is profit to be made by arb trading the assets I want too. What would be a minimum ball park figure of capital required to return enough profit to cover the initial licensing cost. 1 BTC? 10btc? 50BTC?
3. Auto-tune feature - Can anyone attest to the accuracy of the auto-tune feature in assisting to auto adjust your configured strategy to a nice sweet spot

thanks

So are people actually making money off of those? Are most people just arbitrage trading?

That's great! 0% makes it sooo much easier when it's quieter, and when the price is so speculative
Can you tell me what you mean by that?  Smiley

I did not research this as much as I probably should have, taking the easy route here.

Am I to understand that your service provides everything necessary to build a bot, but we have to come up with our own strategies? or are there built in systems that can be used and/or purchased?

Hi,
Yes that is correct. The software provides everything you need to create several bots. With the new 3.0 version that will be released soon there will be some basic strategies out of the box. We do not have strategies that can be purchased.

What is the easiest way to deploy this in the cloud?  Is there a good provider for that?

When running it remotely, how can I lock it down so only I can access it?

The interface is password protected. Worst case someone would only be able to trade on your accounts there is no withdraw function in the software.
The 3.0 version that is in beta has 2fa. You can use amazon or a number of other windows vps services.

Do you recommend a particular Linux distro for your build?

Can I keep track of variables and trade based on them instead of trading based on indicators?

Can I make Ping-Pong trades?

ubuntu mono 3.1.2

Sure you can use price as the main variable.

Yes you can scalp and make a lot of small trades.
In the 3.0 version that we have a beta of there is a out of the box ping-pong bot.

I recomend having a look at our wiki http://wiki.haasonline.com

Thanks,
Krach

Can this be run remotely in the cloud?  Does it work well on Linux?

Yes it can be run in the cloud and works very good. Best results are on a windows server. There is a linux build for 2.0 , the linux build for the new 3.0 will take a little while longer. If you would like to run the linux 2.0 build then just create a support ticket after you get a license.
Thanks,
Krach

Well hello there!

The guy's right.  [Exchanges Overview] section is completely devoid of all useful graphics making it pretty difficult to enter one's api credentials.  Looks like the CSS might be hosed.

Went ahead and created a trouble ticket.

*Also, [Safeties] [Indicators] [Master Indicators] and [Insurances] all inaccessible from Orderbot :/
**Most everything appears to be broken/offline in some way or another.

If you have issues please make a support ticket so we can help you. I can not replicate your problem with the exchanges overview ect.
Thanks,
Krach
In that case perhaps it's something specific to my system.  Let me try installing it on another unit and seeing if I get the same results.  If I do I'll respond to the trouble ticket with some screenshot(s) of what I'm seeing on this end.
