I stand with Palestine.
Some people always ask where Bitcoin will be in the future, and I remember saying that in the future, there is going to be more adoption by almost every body, organization, business, etc. We are already stepping into the future, where a lot of people are planning to adopt Bitcoin. There are already many businesses that are introducing Bitcoin payments into their businesses.

Around 2022, I remember there was a church that also accepted donations in bitcoin, which they used to develop their church. So, this kind of news is not new to me.
People who are in Bitcoin they know future of Bitcoin is bright and it is also exciting to see growing adoption rate across various sectors. As you have mentioned numerous businesses are already integrating Bitcoin payments into their operations and it is not surprising to see institutions like churches also jumping on board. Increasing mainstream acceptance of Bitcoin is testament to its potential and versatility. As more people and organizations recognize benefits of cryptocurrency we can expect to see even wider adoption in years to come. Future of Bitcoin is indeed promising and it will be interesting to see how it continues to shape financial landscape.

I have seen habitat for humanity near my city. As far as I know, it is a non-profit organization that helps build or repair houses to be decent. As far as I know, they also help families affected by natural disasters such as tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc. It is progress and a good thing if crypto is starting to be accepted by large non-profit organizations. This marks an important step in the mainstream adoption of crypto currency. This positive sentiment brings a wave of optimism among crypto industry players. I hope there are many other organizations that start to accept crypto, this will be a new era in the financial system and can change the way people think about crypto for the better.

Yes, it's a non profit organization and mostly they have some offices or volunteers globally, specially in 3rd world countries as this is their target to help build homes for those who are very unfortunate in life and didn't have any roof on top of them 24x7.

We can see a lot of organization adopting the BTC options since they see that its more easier for them to accept international funds if they add this options unto their site.

If people will just browse on the internet they could also see a lot of organizations out there and its up for the donators to choose what cause they are supporting.
Accept donation through Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is convenient for these organizations and donators but there is disadvantage too.

These organizations must have tools to detect tainted coins from sanctioned addresses and entities. Anti money laundering and sanctions are applied for all and charity organizations are not exceptions. I don't know Human International organization is ready for this AML tool. If they don't have a tool do detect and refund coins from sanctioned addresses, they might have problems with governments.

They could have been using 3rd party to hold the Bitcoin for them or accepting it. So they could not be in direct contact with this Bitcoin after all. Anyways, we shouldn't complicate things, I mean do you think those who committed crimes are doing to donate for a good cause? Maybe, but I don't think that this tainted coins might go and flow to these non-profit organizations.

It's good to see habitat now accepting Bitcoin, people who think Bitcoin is mainly used for fund criminal stuff or money laundering need to see this, Bitcoin can be used for the good thing.

Donations can differ and might include one-time Bitcoin contributions. I advocate for using Bitcoin in both bear and bull markets. I've observed many instances of adoption during bullish markets, which often change during bearish periods. The focus tends to be on promoting cryptocurrency news during bull markets.
I have no idea why you can think like that, it's not surprising or rare thing when a company accept Bitcoin as their payment option, there have been many companies accept Bitcoin. Even there are 10 companies accept Bitcoin payment in a day, it doesn't even enough to pump the price.

Things like this were rare 8-10 years ago but now we see adoption increasing at a very fast rate, news like this breaks every day. Nether the less a big win for Habitat for Humanity International.

You will be surprised by the numbers of non-profit organization that are accepting bitcoin or crypto in general,

https://thegivingblock.com/resources/nonprofits-accepting-crypto-donations/

And I do agree that it's a big win for Habitat for Humanity International and I do believed that more of them will come to acknowledge that crypto is here to stay and so they will have to find a way to accept it in the future.

Bitpay make the life charity organization more easier https://bitpay.com/directory/nonprofits/ for helping those institutions. We can also assure that our donation is safe and can able to reach to those people in need, research or something that helpful to our nature.

Also good to see that Habitat to humanity considered to list bitcoin as their accepted currency since this could bring something good to them also for strengthen up the existence of bitcoin. This is also been posted by Binance https://www.binance.com/en/square/post/9670466342186

Recently I checked on the website of Habitat for Humanity not listed yet with bitcoin as option for donating, there are only have two payment method from Credit or Debit Card and PayPal for donating. I don't know with not update yet the payment donation trough bitcoin and other cryptocurrency coins or the Habitat for Humanity still make modify need more longer time to see bitcoin become their payment for donating.

They actually have a donation option for cryptocurrencies if you check the website carefully. They accept donations from Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and many other coins. The organization is well organized so they made provisions for crypto donations before making it public.

It is now common to see organizations accepting Bitcoin donations. This is a pointer that cryptocurrencies are now an important payment system because the population of crypto users has kept increasing over the years. Even Bitcoin critics such as Donald Trump are open to crypto donations to fund his presidential campaign.

That is very cool, although it is not an unusual thing nowadays.  Fortunately I have seen a lot of initiative from Bitcoiners to help out in many situations such as Venezuela and Ukraine.  I really do believe many of us here are well intended people.
At the end of the day, we are all just normal people trying to diversify our options and not only be limited to fiat money. Contrary to what the government thinks, bitcoin users do not only use bitcoin for illicit transactions but also use bitcoin for the benefit of other people.

It is why I rather support other initiatives or, my personal favorite, I rather just save up my own Money and do good deeds by myself.  This way I can choose some body who I know for sure needs the help I am offering.  But that may be just me.
I think you can try and do both instead. You can save your money and do good deed by yourself while also donating to huge charities with other purpose than yours. Habitat for Humanity Intl. is an organization that build homes for those who need it. I find that donating to large scale charities can help more people as they have more reach and more resources and they have the actual time to build the necessary infrastructure.

Right now, I can’t just build a house no matter how much money I save up. So I can help in other ways. I can instead do a feeding program. You can do both.

There can’t be too much kindness in this world.

When the war hit my country, our charity organizations, as well as governmental military and humanitarian support institutions started accepting Bitcoin for donations in the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion. While many donated in fiat, donations in cryptos were also very significant. As of the middle of 2023, it brought $225 million worth of crypto donations. I'm sure that doesn't account for everything because we also have big individual volunteers collecting donations in cryptos, but they're unlikely to be included in stats like that.
It's good when charities accept Bitcoin. It gives the crypto a reputation boost, and it helps collect money for good causes. It's a win-win. But Habitat for Humanity should add the crypto donation button into the general section of donations. Otherwise, it's very hard to even learn that it's an option, unless you already have the link you need.
I am really impressed that charities in Ukraine started accepting Bitcoin donations during difficult time. They received a lot of money $225 million to help people in need. Accepting Bitcoin is great idea because it helps people and makes cryptocurrency look good. But I think charities like Habitat for Humanity should make it easier for people to donate Bitcoin. They should put  option to donate Bitcoin in obvious place not hide it away. This way more people can donate and help make bigger difference. It is important to make donating easy and clear especially when people need help the most.

I do not know how this kind of action can help the Bitcoin ecosystem.  I am skeptical whether this action of the charity organization is to propagate the use of Bitcoin or they are just takin advantage of the Bitcoin currency to widen their scope of people where they can get the support for their activity.  I believe this organization will instantly convert the donated BTC to fiat currency the moment they received the transfer.

On the other note, in a humanitarian view, it is great to have an easier way to support charities especially if the person is holding Bitcoin only as their fund.  They are saved from the pain of converting their BTC to fiat currency to reach out and donate to those charitable institutions.

It is possible that the website of the said institution is in the process of integrating the Bitcoin donation system on their site.  Probably it will take some time to reflect the updated site where the address or the system for Bitcoin donation is visible.

Actually its not first concept adopted make bitcoin as donation way, recently when Russian invasion to Ukraine Bitcoin accepted as donation for Ukraine and Donald Trump as United State president candidate accepting bitcoin as donation for his election campaign.

Its good news having human organization accepting bitcoin as their donation way, I think in the future many organization with humanity will accept bitcoin for donating and we are cryptocurrency or investor not get difficult when donating by using bitcoin or other altcoin.

When I was a little kid, the former president Jimmy Carter came to our province to build houses for a Habitat for Humanity village. That memory stuck with me until now. Little did I know that I too would be serving as a volunteer for the same organization a few years after attending university.

I'm happy to hear this news. I'm happy for the organization being open-minded and futuristic. Not that I would be donating Sats since I've already donated no less than a whole year of my prime years to them, but I'm just happy that they're on our side.

I never heard of this Organization before.  But generally speaking.  One thing in particular I do not like is how people enter lists of such Organizations to have a parasite kind of life style and leech off them.  It is why I rather support other initiatives or, my personal favorite, I rather just save up my own Money and do good deeds by myself.  This way I can choose some body who I know for sure needs the help I am offering.  But that may be just me.

Well to each it's own I guess, as for myself, this non-profit organization is world wide, and even here in our country they have their satellite and it also build a lot of houses for the poor coming from the donations around the world.

But as you have said, we can silently do it in our own, regardless of it's going to be Bitcoin as our main source or others. The most important thing is that we share our blessings to others and maybe our deeds will go back ten folds to us.

And with this, perhaps some Bitcoin enthusiasts are going to used some of their stash for a good cause for Habitat for Humanity and thumbs up to you.

You probably need to get out much more or read more news because Habitat for Humanity is an organization that's been here for a long time. That's just you who thinks poor people or those that are in need are parasites, if the money can help stave off hunger at least for a day, I would definitely donate also, I don't think you're really donating or doing the charity yourself, you're probably just saying that so you're not that bad looking for saying the people that are helped by these charities are leeches, sure there are some organization that really don't help the people they promise to help and that it's a good idea to do the helping yourself but I don't think that's you.

Really cool that Habitat for Humanity has done this, that means that more exposure to bitcoin and more people are going to be learning more about it, hopefully I can do some donations there some time. This is actually a good thing too, if they consider the bitcoin donation for long-term hodl, they might be able to help more in the future if they wait for the bitcoin donations to go up in prices.

It's now official, Habitat for Humanity International is accepting Bitcoin and other crypto as donations. So for those who have supported this non profit organization and you are a Bitcoin enthusiast, then this is another way to bring you donations in.

Undoubtedly, this is an important step to spread the familiarity of Bitcoin around the world. However, if such important steps are taken in all countries of the world, Bitcoin will be known as one of the main means of payment in all areas of life in the future.
However, it is very important to verify the authenticity of organizations that will accept payments through Bitcoin in the service of humanity. Because there are many fake companies who collect money from people in the name of services, in this case those companies collect money through various online payments.
All those humanitarian organizations and organizations engaged in the service of the needy people are cheating like this based on the helplessness of people and these organizations should be vigilant so that they cannot collect money through Bitcoin. However, in the case of organizations that are certified by the government and various agencies, there can be no substitute for Bitcoin to collect money from different countries.
