Bitcoin hacking is not possible without wallet key, password but if hacker to get your wallet information then hack is possible.so we also need hide our wallet information and don't click anyone false mail,Link etc.
But it isn't that we never fall into that situation. I think the problem is when someone gets our wallet key, how can we protect our wallet? Once we lost wallet key, it is difficult to verify, who is own this wallet, who is not.

Depends how you define it, but someone could find weaknesses in one or more of the crypto algorithms that are used in Bitcoin. There's also been exploits before, like the xxx billion BTC block back in 2010. You could call that a hack perhaps.

don't confuse a bug which was caught immediately and invalidated right away with an exploit or a hack. they are two very different things. a "hack" of the bitcoin protocol is impossible and has never happened, not even a close thing. a "hack" of wallets of users has happened a lot though. and it is always due to lack of security on the user's end but sometimes because of the wallet provider's mistakes. like the issue with blockchain.info random generator on their mobile wallets which led to some fund losses.

"Hacking Bitcoin" is a wrong term caused by the media as it is short news to look attractive, for example, "Bitcoin hacking: more than 1 Billion dollars lost" Although the correct news is "Bitcoin exchange platform hacking: more than 1 Billion dollars lost."

Bitcoin cannot be hacked because it is a peer to peer, but it is possible to hack trading platforms because it is like banks "third-party" that does this process. If hackers have access to the administrator's account, they will be able to send Bitcoin into them addresses.

There is no relation to the open source [ remember -----> Confido ICO 'exit scam': Founders disappear with $375,000 ]

so much possible for bitcoin to get hacking, as they are with anonymous system so no one knows when is the bad things will happenning. The only way you can avoid your assets is just be inteligent in every single things you will do, if you wanna go to the exchange look at the link of those site clearly and make it true. So goodluck out there.

The cost of hacking into the blockchain is up to $ 50000 and the success rate is 0.01%. It is almost impossible to hack the Bitcoin system

Hacking bitcoin would require a quantum computer, and we don’t have any of those yet. If you did have a quantum computer, you could not only steal other people’s bitcoins (and those which have been lost forever) but you could also produce blocks super fast to enable double spending attacks.

I read that Bitcoin can not be hacked with the current technology, but I did not investigate the source and accuracy.

Any hack would probably involve generating fake transactions, but since they are fake, they wouldn’t generate a solvable hash, so miners would spot them immediately, and plenty of people have tried and failed.

You can hack into a bank, but you can’t hack a blockchain.

The only way to hack the blockchain will be a huge neural network with AI. Actually it is over possibility of technology, but as we know, for every law will be ever a breakthrough.
Anyway BTC and blockchain still are the most secure system to transfer values.

Bitcoin is known for its security because its code based and its transactions is peer to peer and encrypted its really difficult to hack bitcoin but hackers attacks on exchanges and other wallets and they steal bitcoin from that platforms but sometimes we hear about hack the bitcoins from that exchange then this is the definitely scare us because its a technology and it can be Breakable.

When most people first hear about Bitcoin, they usually think there is some way in which the peer-to-peer digital cash system could be hacked. This is nothing new in some ways, as many internet users have seen their Facebook, Twitter, or other social media accounts come under the control of a nefarious actor over the years.
Having said that, Bitcoin is built for security. Due to the large amount of monetary value that relies on the world’s most popular cryptocurrency, the developers who maintain the de facto reference client for the Bitcoin protocol are careful about any new changes that may be made.
I think Bitcoin depends On Open source.
The Power of Open Source
One of the main reasons Bitcoin is viewed as secure is due to the fact that the codebase behind the network is completely open source. Anyone who wants to join the Bitcoin network is able to do so in a completely open and incorruptible manner. New users are able to confirm, if they wish to do so, that the financial network works in the manner intended because they are able to verify the source code that they’re running on their home computers.

Of course, many users don’t actually verify the code related to their interactions on the Bitcoin blockchain. Most users simply purchase some bitcoin on an exchange like Coinbase rather than worry about operating their own full node.
But the point is that the option to run a full node to control one’s own digital financial sovereignty is always there through the use of open source software
