This has been on my mind for a while... How long will alpha mining stage planned to last?

Hi Verethraghna and thanks for your interest! We don't have a hard stop date for the Alpha Mining stage. It depends on how debugging goes.

If you'd like to sign up, it just takes 3 steps. See the OP of this thread and look for the RED text. It's free and should take you about 10 minutes. (You won't be activated immediately. But as soon as debugging allows we will add more Alpha Miners like yourself.)

@Hadroncloud, i submitted my infor quite a while back (page 70) but still mining isn't activated for me.  Seems i may have been skipped accidentally.   Could you please let me know if my spec isn't suffficient or other reason why i have been skipped.  MacBook Pro, i7 2.4 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics, 3000 512 MB, OS X 10.11.5.  Chrome mainly but also safari.

We didn't skip you! We responded on January 30, 09:29 PM. See post #3352 (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.29271039)

And since your config has been approved, you are in our queue for new Alpha Miners. We will activate you as debugging allows. Please refer to the pinned FAQs our Telegram channel: https://t.me/joinchat/GahFuELlfJoWE1vsFQf3VQ. All of the info about being enabled for mining is there. Thanks for your interest!

This is really interesting. If I understand correctly, this works similar to Folding@home, right?

Here are my computer specs. I'd love to join:
Windows 10
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00GHz
8GB DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 2Gb
Chrome

Welcome to Hadron Karavan-man: your PC looks good for mining. And we are different from Folding At Home as we are running Artificial Intelligence models on your browser. Folding At Home was more brute-force computing on specifically protein configurations.

Thanks for confirming! I'd like to add my two work computers. They're much weaker and can hopefully provide useful data on mining with different specs Smiley

Workstation 1#
Windows 10 Pro
Intel i3-3220T 2.8 GHz
Intel HD Graphics
4 GB Ram

Workstation 2#
Windows 10 Pro
Intel i3-6100T 3.2 GHz
Intel HD Graphics
8 GB Ram

Chrome on both Smiley

hythakkar

P.S: Can you please advise when I will be able to be a part of the Hadron Project.

Hi hythakkar, Chrome will work well! So your config is confirmed as ready for mining, which means you now are in our queue for new Alpha Miners. Unfortunately, we can't give you a specific timetable of when you'll be activated. (It depends on how debugging goes.) But we will get to you!

In the meanwhile, do join our Telegram channel: https://t.me/joinchat/GahFuELlfJoWE1vsFQf3VQ. The pinned FAQs at the top has more info about what to expect. Thanks for joining us!
