Sorry guys, I could care less if Donald Trump owns bitcoin or even thinks about it at all.  If he's elected president, all of us in the US are fucked.  And probably everyone else, too.

if there's a quote out there it would something like this: "There's a problem out there and Bitcoin is part of the problem, there's a tremendous question mark on Bitcoin right now and my friends called me and told me that I'm doing great with this Bitcoin problem".

Honestly, I think Trump may have some money in BTC even if he doesn't know anything about it, but somehow some part of his wealth may have some ties with a startup or loan company or whatever.

I don't think he will comment anything on Bitcoin prior to elections as the effect of it can go both ways and he wouldn't want to risk that. But I am sure he knows it and probably owns it.
Yeah this is pretty true. If he says something about Bitcoin, a lot of people could change their votes for president.

Bitcoin is probably not important enough for Trump to make a statement on it.
Any statement (for or against) on Bitcoin would have a negligible influence on the voting population.

I doubt that he would be concentrating on anything else than winning votes now. He says a lot of wild things and most of that are things that people

think about, but would never voice in public. The Mexican remittance has been a problem for many years and I would go as far as saying, without the

capital coming from the USA, the Mexicans would have had a difficult time feeding their families. The thing is, if someone from another country is

willing to do the jobs that the average American did not want to do, you should not mess with the money they have worked for. Period.. If this money is

part of money laundering or drug sales, they should act on it.

I don't care what he's said about it and I hope he never does say anything about it. The guy is a nut. If he ever did get into power I don't think he would have good plans for it.

I agree. It probably wouldn't do bitcoin any good. It could even hurt bitcoin reputation.
Even if Trump seems "popular" in the USA, in Europe we (almost) all consider him as a dangerous & half-brained populist.

Building a wall to stop mexican immigration really ? Let me laugh. Making america great again ? It would be a total disaster if Trump ever goes to power.

I only hope for someone else powerful to discover bitcoin and advocate for it. But not Trump please.

Here's another great quote:

Quote
Mike Hearn lied last week when he said ISIS made a bitcoin video. The video that ISIS made was about SegWit being a degenerate.

In August he said he wants to clamp down on Mexican remittances. There is a thriving remittance industry using Bitcoin to send money from the USA to Mexico. While he didn't mention Bitcoin he would be likely to clamp down on it to stop those remittance payments getting sent. He wants to build a physical wall between the USA and Mexico so he's serious about remittances

The way he is he would just say Bitcoin is hocus pocus and a product of internet's imagination... I am yet to see a (serious) topic where he actually has a valid opinion

I dont think so. I think all I heard are jokes and telling everyone to be one country and more etc. etc. etc. If he did he might get some votes. Like 1/100 bitcoin users. Well that is a lot I hope he still take it.  Grin  Tongue

Donald is the kind of investor that doesn't look at things like Bitcoin as being a worthy investment. It's basically a traditional investor that is looking for solid/safe investments with low risk potential, but with a stable return. Bitcoin doesn't fit in this picture.

He's exactly like that old guy Warren Buffet. I wonder what his views are regarding the blockchain tech - of course, as a politician.

"It is impossible to buy Donald Trump" as they say.....

.....

...

He has already bought into his own interests, so he has no time for anyone else's.

...

All of the 2016 candidates are disappointing IMO (I seem to say this every 4 years).
And there is where I say...
"If you think you can do better, do it yourself!"

Sigh, if only it were they easy, eh?

I agree with you, there are no big contenders in this years election....none that will bring great change anyway.
