Again, this is just another false lead.  I am sorry but if you look into the search warrant for this raid, they are searching for money that is owed to the IRS in Australia.  Some people need to do there homework prior to posting information that is incorrect.

My answer is simply no. No way satoshi would ever come out in public. Why would he come out now anyway.
For all we know satoshi is a group of people who invented bitcoin and not just one person.

I think this guy is a hoax, let me be clear on that... But the reason why I think that this guy all the sudden had the gall to try and present him self as Satoshi is because of the fact that there was a statement saying that the pseudononymous alias of "Satoshi" had won the Nobel peace prize. Doesn't anyone realize how much every scientist/academic strives for this title? If he conjured up a way to make himself look like Satoshi, then he could try to take the title for himself (even though the people who would award him the prize would've likely asked proof of PGP signature).

It just seems to me it's a guy who desperately wants to be known for something that he didn't do. He just wants the title and the fame, which to me screams out this isn't Satoshi. I think the real Satoshi will only make himself known on a deathbed type of confession, or if Satoshi is a family man/woman he would geniously find a way to leave his wealth in bitcoins to his child/ren.

Would be interesting to to see how ti progresses but still if not satoshi then just another wanna be and trying to take the claim of him. Still why the feds want him just because is creator should not be arrested but then again that's the FBI we dealing with.

The raid was related to an ongoing tax matter.  I have no idea why you're characterising it as "the feds" wanting him because he's the Bitcoin creator.

The FBI has nothing to do with this.  This involved the ATO, the AFP, and will probably also entail an AUSTRAC investigation.

a tax matter lol pull the other one ya goon

How can you tell that this is Satoshi? This is just another one of those theories that people make. Why are the police raiding and attacking people that they just think are doing something bad? Hopefully they stop this nonsense.

Still pretty convenient that the raid has come at the same time of him being outed as allegedly being satoshi...
May be coincidence, but I suspect they may have moved the timeline of the raid a bit forward when this came out.

I suspect it was the investigation into him which led to the media's interest, either directly or indirectly.

It's obviously possible that the raid was brought forward if the authorities believe that the media attention gave Wright a bigger motive to have someone destroy evidence at his home than the tax investigation alone warranted.  Tax evasion/tax fraud and money laundering often go hand in hand, after all.

The images of the raid don't suggest a whole lot of urgency, though, and neither the ATO nor the administrator stopped Wright from leaving Australia so I guess we'll just have to wait to learn exactly what the authorities knew about Wright and when, whether or not he turns out to have been associated with Bitcoin's early development.

It will not be that easy as people think when it comes to finding the brains behind the bitcoin thing. I am so sure that the people who came up with the algorithm took int consideration that they will be people that the authority will have problems with. I am however delighted by the fact that irrespective of all this, bitcoin is heading a direction which will make putting a reverse gear on it next to impossible move.

Did anyone notice that he said, "I've been running bitcoin?" If he truly built bitcoin, he would know that nobody "runs" bitcoin. That looks suspicious.

All this has to do is tax related fraud. Good points.

No i don't think he is the real one like most of the people around this forum think. Although if this is true it wouldn't effect the bitcoin market anymore as now we more care about bitcoin and its adaptability rather than the inventor.

He is a mystery man and nobody knows his identity and even if he comes and stands in front of us we could not recognize him but every now and then media will try to create fake news like this, yes all we care is about Bitcoin not about its inventor

The feds didn't arrest him and the AUS police already said the raid had nothing to do with Bitcoin or him alledgedly being satoshi.

Heck no, this is not satoshi. I doubt he would come out like the way this Craig did.
I don't think he/she/they will ever come out saying that they are satoshi.

This story is already making me sick. It is more than obvious that this Craig guy isn't the real Satoshi. Now the community members should be all claiming they all are Satoshi Nakamoto

Satoshi is on an island somewhere in a super High tech home with a female robot as his sex slave.

Does that make him technically a virgin?
