But you will be able to eventually redeem the hash for a machine delivered to you. Then you can point it to any pool you desire. Or use it as a doorstop. 

True, but why spend over $500.00 on something that will basically make a good doorstop come July? I guess you could squeeze out more life from it by renting out on MRR or Nicehash.

I beg to differ, $115 off a $699 machine is saving of 16.5%, hardly nothing.

The frozen market may be for upgrades. Who knows.

The discout is just $115. it is nothing compared to the cost of the S7. So why the freeze of the market?

So, what´s next in mining? Wasn´t there a new chip due out in May? Haven´t been following this stuff much for a while. I guess much of current gear has been wiped out lately what with the difficulty increases.

And there goes the announcement. I'm supposing the market freeze is to take off S5s. They did say S5 redemption right, so it seems to me S5 is being phased out.

it is polite to freeze an asset, when news may affect its value and all market participants do not have equal access to said news. to not do this is technically facilitating insider trading. but this does not seem to matter in this particular space.

and ponzis arent bad per se, i just feel some kind of way about profiting off my brother's ignorance. this is a real world, with sharp edges. some of the flock must be protected from themselves. For every experienced gambler like yourself (we can both agree these are binaries, at best, never an investment), there are ten new fools that will pay a steep learning curve. I'd like not to see that. It puts a black eye on the space, and thats just bad fuckin karma for everyone

Why does it take 72 hours to put a miner online?
They say tey deliver them, wich I still don't understand.

Anyway, they seem to have locked the markets until they sell all of their miners.

They announced the coupons for previous S7 orders but nothing else yet.

When will Hashnest open the market?

The big announcement will probably be something like the collapse of Hashnest or release of new hardware.

I don't know, the price really has crashed from $2k to $600 so it could be new hardware. I agree about the marketplace, I sold and pulled out my coin.

a little bit early for new hardware. Especially with no major news from 13nm (unless I missed something).
