Of course if we work with bitcoin then of course we need to keep our bitcoins in a good wallet because otherwise we can lose bitcoin. If we put bitcoin in any exchange then if that exchange scams then we can lose our bitcoins  That's why we must use a bitcoin public security wallet. You must not keep your bitcoins anywhere without security. As far as I can tell you

Well, if I can't remember my password, I'm definitely not remembering that!

You forgot your Blockchain.com password.
You forgot your Blockchain.com ID that acts as your username.
You didn't list your 12 phase seed.
You don't know about 2FA but still, take a shot so you send a ticket to support.

Prepare now for the worst-case scenario.

Thanks for all the replies, and so soon. However, I now feel a complete twerp as I gave you all duff info! I actually purchased the Bitcoins from 'Coinify', but my wallet is with 'Blockchain.com', and it is them whom I am having problems logging on to, as they do not send a password reminder, and are instead asking me for my '12 word Secret Private Key Recovery Phrase'!!! Well, if I can't remember my password, I'm definitely not remembering that!

They give me one other option; to reset my '2FA device'. No idea what that does, but have sent a request anyway, and await a response and see what happens. They say it could take up to 2 weeks. What a palava!  Tongue

Thanks again for your help!
Best of luck, if you can't remember those important details then hopefully that they'll give you a good result if ever they'll try to investigate in your case and allows you to access your blockchain.com wallet. I've seen many people going back to that wallet because of the recent bull run and they're all dealing with hardship and problem just as yours. But still, good luck and hopefully you can get it back.

Uhm that seems fishy to me OP. Have you checked if you're really vising https://www.blockchain.com/explorer ? Make sure you're not opening any shady link because if I understood that right they are asking you for the 12 word Secrey Private Key then they are asking you for your PRIVATE KEYS. As soon as they have that they can literally get all of your funds and you will be left with nothing OP!
When you click on "Need some Help" option, blockchain.com indeed asks for your "Secret Private Recovery Key Phrase" if you can't remember the password in order to access the wallet, you can check on the link you shared.

That's an option you are using when you lost access to your 2FA device so you can't log in to your wallet, for example if your mobile phone stopped working and you had Google authenticator on it.

Please, triple and quadruple check your sources and check your e-mail to see if you can establish a story in what you've managed to do with those BTC's. Again : Don't give them those 12 word ! I'm happy that you don't have them because most likely by now you would have gave them meaning that you would have 0 balance left ...

Don't share your 12 word with anyone OP, can´t stress this enough ...

EDIT: I've confirmed that blockchain.com in fact asks for your 12 word phrase in order for you to recover your account OP. Thank you @Rikafip for correcting my information Smiley

Have you changed the set of emails you use within the past 5 or so years? If not, you could search your email addresses for key words like "coinify" to find out the one which you used to create your account. From there, follow the information in this article - https://help.coinify.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013631880-How-to-reset-change-your-password-for-your-Coinify-account

It's more complicated if you've lost access to the email. Follow the instructions in the post above, ensuring that your inquiry is as detailed as possible. You should also be ready with information about the account as such could be requested to prove ownership.

They are a custodial service, so there is only one way of finding out: Go to https://help.coinify.com, click on the "Support" button floating around on the bottom-right corner of the page and send them a support ticket.
This is the best help that you can get in this thread. Please, whatever you do, ignore any further PM's that you may receive either from here or from other places where you've posted this issue.

Also remember to never give any kind of details of your account to anyone. Only to certified agents of Coinify ! Whenever you're able to get access to your coins just choose a wallet of your own and send those funds there. You can check a list of reliable wallets here : [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?.

And congratulations on your investment Wink Lets us know how the story ends!

Hi!

I purchased some Bitcoin some 5 or so years ago and recently thought I would see if I had made any money! So I attempted to log in to my Coinify online wallet and found I have forgotten my log-in credentials. No matter what I try I can not remember my password. And Coinify do you send you a reminder. However, I have my 34 combination key, and also a 32 combination wallet ID. Have I lost them, or am I able to retrieve them somehow with these keys without recourse to logging into Coinify?

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Mark
