We will not see the 200 forever. It is lower than the cost of most miners. They will not sell below 200.

Yeah we won't touch $200 even in very bad market situation. One reason among this is described in the above quote. $400 looks to be good for miners as well users.

I don't see it happening. The new low is around the 250 - 340 region. Not anything lower. However there is a big difference between 250 and 340.

I am a little bit more optimistic and I believe it is somewhere around the 300 - 320 region. The last low was around 320 if i remember correct
Which means we could go down there easily, but i don't expect that to happen.

there is trick question here the topic asks a different question than the poll with two opposite responds, i think that is why the results are 50/50

anyways i don't think it is ever possible to see prices below $300 because if it goes even below $400 we are all going to buy a lot of bitcoin and the price will come back up again!

Yeah I thought that, I nearly fell for it too when I voted.

In response to the subject of the OP though - we are done with the 200's now, I doubt we'll return. People voting for a likely return to 200 are butt hurt bears or people who didn't invest back then & want another bite at the cherry.

Sorry guys the train has left that platform.
I'm sorry but I'd have to disagree that people like us who thinks bitcoin may return to 200s are butthurts, when in fact we are not. Some of us are just making some special margins and not being too optimistic about bitcoins. We are indeed optimistic but we place also margins for errors such as the possibility of unfortunate events. The chances of seeing 200s again are highly unlikely, but it is not impossible like maybe 0.01% chance or something. It's extremely low, but it's not 0.

Will we ever go below $300 again?
It can happen but I am not sure when it is going to happen. We have just left that amount and the chance is small that we already go back to $300 or bellow.
But it can be that we are never going to be able to buy coins for around $300 again.

I think we have left $300 forever if the bitcoin survive the next decade. The medium bottom is $400 now.

Will we ever go below $300 again?

i think that we can already say that yes, we left 200's forever, look at price now, 430$ and price still rises, and don't forget halving, it will happen in July and will rise price of bitcoin

if price will fall below 200$ then it will be really bad days for bitcoins because nobody will buy it, we will see sellers only, so bitcoin might even die
Yes, I also think that the price is now going up and will continue to go at more height, as the adopters and buyers are now more in number than the sellers, and whenever the everyone started to sell and the demand decreased the price will start to fall.

Nothing is impossible actually, as based on Newton's law, whatever goes up comes down too...
So, when the price went to $300 and came back to $50, same when it went to $1.2k and came back to $200, I think it won't be impossible, but still it ain't possible at all in the near future...

I think so we have not seen the 200's for a long time so I think that the answer is yes. This makes it harder for the people who do not have much money to invest to buy bitcoins.
They must have to buy a little amount of bitcoin if they are unable to buy much, as for little earnings and buying not all the bitcoin users lose their wealth to bring the price at $200 once again.

I do not know it seems like it but the price can always go back. But for the people who do not have much money to invest this can be a problem and it will surely effect the bitcoin users.

i believe we also left the 400 forever, see you in the 600 range soon, it's clear that the 400 is the new bottom, if you still think otherwise, you lose the great pump that is coming

going short now is a suicide...

When bitcoin was $400 in 2014 nobody knew, at the start of 2015 we will see a huge dump, $200. if we a get hype like that again,  we will see  that again, probably a year before next halvening.

that is not hype that would be FUD and no FUD is big enough to decrease the price to $200 (it is a $225 decrease) the last FUD was created by Mike Hearn and that was huge but only could decrease the price $30-40 and that was not the only FUD, there were a huge wave of Ethereum FUD alongside it.

Good bye $200 we will not miss you again  Wink
Well honestly it is hard to see such price again especially after the halving, voted No

I too voted No, but none is sure about this because bitcoin has faced peak rise and fall often. I believe last time halving had ended up the $200, so possibilities are low to see the price then.

I think yes, one day when everyone will sell their coins and the demand will be no more there then the price will reach to much bottom, and at that time we may have at about $300 or less.

No I do not think the value goes down (in normal conditions, i.e no big catastrophe). Probably the up from 300 is due to some halving sentiment already priced in price.
the price will surely not fall under the 400 mark anymore because the halving will make the price go a little bit higher thus allowing us to make some good money in my opinion

i hope that 200 will never come back and we will see only growths in price that will make me a rich person in the future, though no one knows what the price will actually be
