Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?
Just go to Investor Based Games and for sure if you invested in any of the ponzi sites being promoted there you will loose Bitcoins, as a newbie before I invested in those kind of sites like scrypt.cc, cloudminr.io and ore-mine and all of them turned out to a SCAM so I lost some Bitcoins. My fault, stupidy + greed = scammed  Sad

That is what happens with almost every newbie because they want to earn quick money without any knowledge so as you mentioned stupidity + greed = scam, so this rule applies on almost every newbie at first and later on they learn their lesson so they stop doing that again.
Yeah they are just lazy and looking for no skills that they can earn without doing nothing.. they didnt understand there is no company that you earn bitcoins for free without doing nothing, almost all online jobs or task needs to work hard to able to receive payment or earn from your hard work.

That's not the only reason, they also never learn from their bad experience. They could continue to invest at similar ponzi/scam investment many times even though many people warn those newbie.
I even saw a newbie who got scammed in 7 ponzi cloud mining because he didn't learn from his bad experience.

True, thats why ponzi sites keep to exist day by day week by week because   the are lot of fools keep investing to their sites even they know already that they would get scammed in the end. Dont know really whats the reason why people  keep investing , they are really just throwing their money and   making rich those scammers.

I lost bitcoin on gambling, card games and roulette. Fortunately I have earned money from texas holdem, I like it very much, I will join WSOP 2017 and win money.
gambling is a really bad thing that besides that is really addicting, i lost some money on it either thats why i avoid it right now all the time

Yes gambling is draining us and I think bitcoin bitcoin will not benefit unless we play with great pleasure that we can gamble on the game. I also lost a lot of bitcoin of various kinds such as gambling, trade and investment.

I even saw a newbie who got scammed in 7 ponzi cloud mining because he didn't learn from his bad experience.

He must have been crazy then, something done thrice can be a mistake but something done more than 3 times is considered to be an habit, he must have been in habit of investing in those ponzi schemes or he must have been too greedy and invested everytime to earn quick returns without thinking about the loss he can get.

it sounds very bad, but it is not impossible he do that much, because he already had a high yield, because if not, he may not continue to do so, and it was really stupid.
as well as gambling, when everyone knows the risk and always loss, but keep playing, because there is chance of winning.

Personally, I calculate myself losing anywhere from 1-2 btc for my folly and inattention. Now I use this currency to pay for VPN service only.
But I have a question. Where are they got to?

In gambling I've 'lost' several times, but I'd say that I've lost it not when the game said that I lost but when I decided to gamble with it. Btw, the BTC I chose to gamble is the BTC what I could afford to lose so I wouldn't call it a mistake since I've used that BTC to have fun what I had.

So for most it is scammed or lost bu third party Sad

It only prove the problem is not bitcoin but we ppl , we trust to the wrong ppl or companies, how many was burned by mtgox, cryptsy, btfinex, etc, the list goes to long

in my mind i have crypto world police a  decentralized group of ppl that will hunt scammers all over a world, the legal one, also then we will have a gray zone pay hit ppl to hurn them if legal system can not touch them, like the wild west in future

scammers should be afraid only then we gona see hack thifes being what they are, a low life assholes

Yes! I lost bitcoin and it's my fault because I invested in a so called cloud mining site that has too good to be true returns. Others said that its legit and they have evidence that its paying so the newbie me immediately invested in the site and then when I received more than half of what I invested, the site cannot be reached and then disappeared together with my bitcoin. That's the time my eyes were open to the existence of scammers and promise myself that I will never invest in an HYIP site again.

I had a tiny amount in a paper wallet in 2013. I was testing bitaddress.org, I was still pretty new to cryptos then.
Misplaced the paper wallet, never found it, lost the coins.  Angry

It's true, greed does get in the way of a lot of people new to Bitcoin and it does have some people get scammed on their way to being more actively involved with the community. I'm actually kind of curious as to how many people stop using Bitcoin after they get scammed for the first time to be honest. It feels like it should be a considerable number, but there isn't any evidence to point one way or the other.

I lost bitcoin because i was scammed by those cloudmining site like hashocean, i almost invested 4btc with that mining site it  pays well in a few months and then before halving it turns  out to be a scam which is very unlucky since i only got 1/2 of my investment but its better than  get zero at all. Its all my fault since i was amazed in their payment terms which is  good but it goes scam and  not only me, many investors are being scammed by that site.
