I was not scammed in the HYIP. But I lost some bitcoin in several exchanges as the exchanges were "hacked".

Same thing happen to me, someone ever hacked my wallet through email, I don't know, it just happened that way.
So I just let it gone and set my account more safely, set second password and not put all eggs in one basket.

I have been scammed on several occasions. In one instance, I was exchanging bitcoin for paypal not knowing that the other 'trader' was a scammer. The transaction went on well but the 'trader ' launched a complain with paypal and the funds were reversed. I had already disbursed the bitcoins and therefore there was no way I could recover them. Another instance is where I downloaded a bot to help me in gambling. Little did I know that I was downloading a malware which wiped all my bitcoins from wallets.

Yeah , that's good because you learned from your past and not repeated your same fault.
But even you set your 2fa and change your password still have a chance about your account getting hacked , if you can change your password time by time (like 1 month) for minimize the risk for getting hack by unknown person.

I believe everyone lost some bitcoins in gambling as almost every user of bitcoin have played gambling at least once. I think you are asking something different here if I have lost bitcoin by being stolen by me or me being hacked. Yes I have been hacked before in the beginning when I kept all my coins in online wallet like blockchain.info. Hardware wallets are the safest and I believe everyone who have several coins on his wallet should get one to sleep safe at night.

Very true because we dont really know how to use it and we can be easily to be fooled by those crazy referral earners people and because of that i always get scamed by hyips since back then and thats why i learned many lesson about the dangers on it and be wise wherever you put your money since frauds are everywhere online and even if your friend might scam you in the name of their greed and for the sake of money.

I think you are not a newbie in bitcoin, you can never say that if you do not have any experience in bitcoin. most of the newbie are engage in ponzi/hyip and cloud mining site. Honestly i lost a lot of bitcoin because of those sites but i am never regret because i also earn to them and i can say that almost equal of my earning is my lost.

it is better not to have any deals with strangers online because you might lose a lot of money really easy, i lost bitcoins only on gambling
