To be honest, none so far and if I did ever meet one, the first question I will ask him is that how did he even become successful as a gambler. I knew someone that won in the lottery but I can't say that he is a successful gambler because he only became successful not in gambling but when he got the money he won, he built a lot of businesses and well, that is how he earned a lot.

clearly you don't know the difference between met and seen the meaning of the words may be the same but can be use in different scenarios. what I mean about I haven't met any successful gambler is because I haven't met one personally but I've seen some through gambling sites. also there are casino that has a huge fund on their sites to accommodate high stakes player. also like I said you may not believe me but these thing do happen.

Unfortunately, I haven't met one and I'd like to meet one, some of them are high profile individual and it's hard to befriend these people as long as you have contact among his peers, these high rollers are well guarded go check the casinos in your city and you will see what I mean.
I have seen some that can be down to earth I think they aren’t so common, little gamblers are more than big time gamblers because most very rich people that could win big are not interested in the game because of the bad things they must have heard about gambling. I keep wondering what rich people even see in gambling that makes them commit money into it in the first place, considering the level of risk in gambling.
I never find any successful who made more than 1 BTC, of course, there are many who earned so much money trading but i have never personally met those guys. Gambling is completely difficulty JOB for winning, even though we are betting in a different and the chance of winning are less because i have been failing many times.

I am quite surprised at the Ops definition of a successful gambler. You mean only those who have won above 1BTC are successful players? That’s awkward and very naïve way of thinking. I may not have made up to 1BTC all my years of gambling but I am so proud to call myself a successful gambler, you can argue with your keypad bro lol. It’s not easy to be able to overcome the fears, temptations and emotions that comes with gambling and so those of us who have successfully played this game for years without being addicted or gone insane are the real MVPs and we sure deserve all accolades.
I have not yet ever met a "Successful" Gambler in my whole like all was I met was a "broke" gambler. Since I don't believe in gambling that much because I have once a family of gblers I never seen them successful but I seen them winning sometimes. I can't called their winning as their success since when they go again in the next day to play they will lose it again. Success is not just one day or one week but success is lifetime.
Its bad that you have no winner around you but I have seen some, and even seen more who have retained their wins. The few ones who you have seen that win and loose back are those who are not guided players, there is also a warning but the interesting nature of the game keeps them blinded till they loose back what they have lostI haven’t won so much in gambling but I gain fulfillment and that alone is more than been successful. A guy from my town won over €35.000 a few weeks ago on sports betting. A few local sites and forums talked about it back then. Someone even posted a picture of him in an online article but it was removed for his own safety. Turns out that we often go out in the same bars, and I remember seeing him many times but I don't know him in real life except a few occasional 'Hi, How are you doing?' type of greeting here and there.
I don't know anyone close to me who has had much success in gambling though.

I'm starting with online, I haven't met anyone online that claims to be rich and playing my gambling, maybe rich men don't play gambling online I guess, or maybe they don't have time to be discussing online like we do, they just play on a low-key? Then as for offline, I haven't seen a single gambler that is successful, majority of them I know are very useless and they are very addicted to gambling. That is one reason why I don't really put all my mind in gambling, I just play it for fun. Those who take it serious don't achieve anything. There are regular gamblers here who play gambling ( card based ) every single day ( every afternoon to be specific ) and i witnessed thier winning moment alot of times but other times or other days , they also get experience to loose . This only means that you cant get be succesful in gambling but you can only be succesful on other things .
Usually a gambler would not keep track of his record, he win some and lose some, that's the real thing in gambling. Maybe we will noticed he is a successful gambler if he keeps winning everytime or most of the time, but that's really rate in gambling.
Also, My opinion to the thread's question is that, when it comes to pure luck games, the amount of successful people should be MAXIMUM around 40% to 45%... but none of the people I know are gambling.

I knew several very successful esports gamblers online back when I was actively betting on esports matches, especially with CS:GO- several had earnings over 10BTC, though I haven't talked with any of them in a while. I've never been nearly as successful gambling or betting, though I'm overall in the green with CS:GO betting.
