If this the case then it's all good but if it is really the last money you have all in all I think that was a bad idea. Never risk something valuable you have with that last bet it won't guarantee any winnings and in your case you are lucky enough to have won.

A lot of gamblers fall into this kind of decision making wherein they are still willing to take the risk of betting their last cash but unfortunately they will end  up losing and even borrow money for the transport fare and this falls into irresponsible gambling.

I personally don't engage into this kind of betting but I did this once before and that was a lesson I have learned.

I have never won with the last cash or last balance. With me, when there are last few dollars, cents, sat or any altcoin, I usually dont expect to win with it. I usually make a very risky bet, like 5+ odd, or playing something with only 5-10% win chance. My last cash or deposit - means I have spend my gaming budget already and I am about to "put a dot" in this session. For me it is always all or nothing. If I lose this last risky bet, I did not get disappointed. If I win that last bet, then I consider it as making a beautiful sessions finish.

I have used a good amount to gamble and lost all at once. I have tried before many times to win two or three times to target a profit but later lost. Your friend might lose with the winning money but he may be able to afford to lose the amount of money. You should be able to know that. If you friend can lose the money, there is nothing wrong in that if he can afford to lose. But if he can not afford to lose the money, that is bad. But why gambling with the amount of money that he can not afford to lose in the first place if we should not even talk about the winning.

I did two days ago.
My last 10k satoshis. $5 if I am right with the conversion. Made a bet in slots with just $0.1 per round, lost $2, and then the bonus round popped out. I was surprised at how much multiplier was given so I made that $5 to $18 and then I stopped. I told myself that I may not repeat that, it was just a lucky timing and I doubt the system will give one more that is almost the same as it.
After that, I just went back into playing casino games, I prefer Plinko because the RTP is faster than other games and then I can bet cheap to increase my wagered amount and get a good bonus when it comes.
We need to be wise whenever we win something big, the chances of doing it again is slim and I won't try to risk it because of my greed.

This reminds me of what happened to me and my friend when we we're gambling. We had our last money to bet and then tried our last luck on a certain number. Luckily, we have won and win more. But at the end, my friends used all his winnings on the game and end up losing. It's important to gamle responsibly, learn when to stop, and not risk more than you can afford to lose.

Everyone thoughts will be different, maybe he thinks that even if he loses all the money he has today along with all the spare money he has, tomorrow he can still work and get back some money, this is one of the reasons why many gamblers are willing to lose all their money.
But they don't think that tomorrow they won't necessarily be able to work well and earn some money, for some people most of them get paid every week or every month and when the money runs out in an instant then the next day he will have difficulty, he will live without having anything financial support.

Thing also have to remember is that when feel like are losing more money, have to stop immediately instead of borrowing some money, if win can pay off debt, but if lose will live with the burden of debt that must be paid.

It has also happened to me many times that I have exhausted my capital while gambling and at the last moment I have recovered my money on the last bet land. I continued gambling like this for a long time. I don't know why this happens. These may be a secret strategy of gambling sites to make gamblers continue gambling longer and become more attracted to gambling.  Because of this, as long as I don't gamble, I treat it as fun. You would have automatically turned a beggar which I’m pretty sure wouldn’t have been funny and that’s a typical example of risking only what you can afford to loss else you’ll bite more than you can afford to chew.

I can’t remember gambling with my very last cash but I could remember borrowing some money which I used some to gamble and that was way back before even joining the forum and I was actually lucky enough to win that bet and was able to pay off the debt and have a lot more left.

Luck happens to us in ways you don't expect and that's why when it does happen we find it as something of awe and that's what makes it special. Despite how fickle luck can be it sometimes does embrace us at a time we really needed it. I assume those last cash lucky win as a consolation luck which is not guaranteed to repeat any time soon.

I have had many different occasions where the last cash in my hand turned to be a recovery to all my losses for the day and whenever I get fortunate to experience such luck I quickly stop to gamble and I immediately go home with that last cash winning money but there are some persons who will see it as a motivation to continue staking more and they end up losing it all eventually.

Has happened to me before. It happens more often than I thought it would've really. Does checking while gambling even an offense? If I am betting in the form of a P2P hell, you just have to be careful because I would do whatever I can to secure my winning. It is basically a tournament of competition which everyone have to offer their best to a winning pace. So, I don't find a a narrow way of winning to be a cheat hence there is no excuse for failure.

Yes, it happens sometimes. The excitement of winning with your last stake and last fund is usually like you have recovered your daily lost in the gambling. Meanwhile is it just like the winning was only able to recover you with about just 15%-25% of your total list but due to the hope lost that finally gave you such winning in such expected time is worth being grateful for.

I also don't gamble with my last cash. If cash is already running low, it means I have crossed the line and it's time to stop. I don't believe in desperate movements in gambling. To recover money on the last chance seems feasible only on the screens of the movies. For real, the tendency is that we just go completely broken. Taking OP's situation in consideration, I imagine if I had used the last 1$ to gamble and lost it. So I would have to make my way home on foot, as the money for the transport would be already gone. Depending how far I lived, it could be a dangerous endeavour to walk alone on the streets, especially if late at night.

Unfortunatelly, this is the kind of dangerous situation an addicted gambler faces, because he can't control his urges for playing or chasing losses.

Dam I thought you meant that you spent your last dollar on gambling your ride home away.  Good on you but I always set aside any money needed for real life.  Once you start digging into that pot of money is when you start getting yourself in trouble.  If you don't mind me asking how much did you win with that $1 that saved your day?

Well, this happens to me occasionally. What I mean is that I have a tracker where I record every move I make in gambling—what amount, in what game, the profit, something like that—and before I go to the last cash or little money, I control myself and don't risk it anymore. I will wait for the next cycle where I can refill my funds. But yeah, most of the time I win my bets or games when I stake all of my reminding cash or funds. Well, it is a do-or-lose it all. Like I say every time, "a real man creates his own luck," meaning if I know I'm on edge, I will always pour all my attention and full capacity of my brain into winning in a gambling game, and of course the gambling game involves skill and mind, like card games or sports betting, where the result can be determined depending on how I think and how I play.

You were just lucky to win because you would have regretted your action if it turned the opposite. As usual, I have a gambling plan that is strictly followed, so I don't usually gamble beyond the money allotted for it. So I have not been in a situation like OP's where I have to risk my transport fare. But I have been blessed to win my last bet on some occasions. Last wins are usually entertaining because in most cases you have lost hope that the day is not favorable.  In physical casinos, you might already be leaving your table while in online casinos you might be preparing to log out when you might luckily win.
