Back in 2018-19, I guess many of us have dreamt of owning a casino. At that time this casino business was at boom and many new casinos were continuously being launched. Many casinos also offered to invest in their bankroll and get a share from the profits. But owning a casino and organising it was really a tough task. Many didn’t know how to build a casino where in some casinos the bankroll wasn’t sufficient. So yes for these reasons many people along with me, stopped this idea of creating our own casino. Reading this post, made me feel nostalgic.
Agree, I remember back in around 2017, one of the well known bitcointalk member from our local community runs a casino and offered on our local board a chance for the community to invest and create a casino funded by our local members. As nice as it is, unfortunately, it did not happen as there's only a number of members have enough funds to invest on it. It was quite exhilarating at the time as it great idea and it will be funded by bitcointalk local members. If only it did happen, I wonder if that happened how will that gambling platform be performing now.

How many of you have dreamed about having your casino? Be the house and play the always-win game.

In the past years it was different, people who could build a provably fair engine were able to have their own casino, but now we are playing with new rules, the casinos must have a license and games providers, and that's what people are looking for, and i don't say is something bad, the gambling experience on stake compared with the gambling experience on satoshi bones is enormous.

But getting back into the topic, i would like to read some nice histories from the community, those who only dream about their own casino, and those who make their dreams come true.

1. You need to have consistent amounts of money to invest.
2. You really need to know a lot about this business.
3. You need to surround yourself with experienced people who can help you lead the business.

Overall, there are many variables and it's not as easy as it looks to make money out of this. If that'd be the case, we wouldn't see so many online casinos shutting down, some of them after only a few months.

If the first three criteria are met and you can handle many sleepless nights, then give it a shot!

How I wish to become the house who can earn an unlimited profit once you established a good site.
We are on a different era now and this is the result of pursuing the regulations, now those crypto casinos have to get license and be regulated so they can attract more gamblers. I haven't seen a decentralized crypto gambling site able to hit the top over the regulated casinos, probably the decentralized thing in crypto is slowly fading away as the government starting to regulate this market.

I had a dream of owning my own casino but I left the idea after I learned more about it. First of all it is a serious business and you will have to pay taxes and the gov guys don’t really like gamblers/casino owners. They will automatically label you a money launderer by default. That’s incredibly stressful right from the start. Then you will have to deal with hackers, cheaters and all kinds of bad people. You’ll have to patch your website up very often and if you can’t do that, you’ll have to hire someone for the job and then you’ll have to trust that guy too because he can also rob you anytime. At that point I realized having a physical store and selling random physical crap on the street or doing freelancer work is a way better idea than owning an online casino. Owning a casino requires you to trust many people and people are often scammers. If you still want to chase your dream, at least learn to code before you start.

I always say to my friend who is a big gambling addict, why would he spend a lot of money just to gamble looking to win big money when he could just build his own casino with the money he has spent gambling for several years, we know that having a casino will get fixed profits are different if you play as a gambler, it will be difficult to get a steady income.

I think everyone definitely wants to have a casino where we as gamblers can also play in our own casino so that losing will never be a problem as long as we gamble in our own casino because of course the profits will continue to enter our account every day, but the hardest thing is Not only the license, there are many things that are needed regarding security and marketing, of course it takes a lot of money to pay for both so that the casino site can run.  Wink

Scrolling on Codecanyon a script marketplace I thought your $2000 was just enough to set up one because there are scripts there that sell for $200 or less until I did some research where some articles detail the cost of setting up a casino and a competitive casino and good casino cost anywhere from $30k to $200k many gamblers can manage the cost but its different when it comes to operations and marketing because it's a 24/7 operations.

You need the right people and these right people should be compensated you need a huge budget for marketing for the continuous flow of players because players jump from one casino to another and your ROI will take time depending on the trust of players.

Yes, the Casino industry is a multi-billion-dollar industry and competition is so high that big casinos getting the preferable choice while new casinos need to create awareness and this will cost a lot of money.

But getting back into the topic, i would like to read some nice histories from the community, those who only dream about their own casino, and those who make their dreams come true.

No, I never dreamed of owning a casino. I think casinos need a lot of capital for bankrolls, promotions and site development. Getting permits for casinos is also expensive. I think instead of dreaming of having my own casino, it's better to invest in casinos like buying casino shares or invest in bankroll, I see casinos like moneypot allow us to invest in bankroll

Apart from that, since the Covid-19 pandemic, casinos have developed very rapidly so that currently online casino competition is very tight.

You are pertaining on a full casino which is a huge scale business but you can start your own by availing only those generic casino template that offers only house game. Having your own casino is different goal on having a competitive casino since that really will require tons of money for marketing just to match to big brand competitors.

But if I will have a chance to open my own casino. I will just launch a decentralized casino with few game on it like blackjack and mines. I will not aim to become a top brand but just to have fun even with small amount of players that trust my product.

There's no harm in dreaming of owning a casino, that's every gambler's dream but with all the work, the cost, and the knowledge to know I can't figure out how can I do it, I don't even have $20k the minimum to run a licensed casino

Times have changed the competition is very high, and millionaires, big organizations and groups are your competitors, It is hard to come out with a casino that can compete with the big names, but we never know maybe I will meet an executive of one big casino and invited me to get in.

We can only come out with casino review sites and do affiliates but we never know if there is one here who is part of the casino, not those who already own casinos
but who started as a gambler?

It costs hands and legs to fund a casino and start running the business, even those who are capable still have to get extra funding from their known source just to start the business, we all have the dream but man it costs a lot to get this up and running, all you have to do is make sure you get licensed in the country you want to start the business, even if its on debt I am sure that you will settle all that debt in a short period of time.

This is the type of business that have less risk, money will come from the loads of people coming into your casino, just find a way to attract them, do small giveaways and that's it, only casinos that are not well managed go bankrupt or maybe the founder was full of debt and they still go and use more debt to start a business, though I recommend having some experience about casinos before starting the business.

If I have the money it doesn't mean I have the green button to start the business, you need to learn so I will prefer to work with some casinos for a while to at least know what they do and how they do it, this will give me ideas and the better things I can add to my own casino so that I can attract many people, this is not something you can dream about today and start the business next week, it takes time to plan it and also think carefully before launching.

This is a good business that's sure to bring big gains in a short period of time but you need the resources and funds, I mean the big funds.

It's actually quite hard to establish a casino these days and comes with all sorts of challenges, the main one being security. When you are effectively working in an arena (crypto) that allows criminals to steal money outside of the traditional banking system and potentially launder it in many different ways, then you have to be ultra careful about how you are storing that currency. You are also likely to be targeted by people who will try to extort money from you, in return for not DDOS attacking your website which could effectively run you out of business, so you have to pay for adequate defences against that. Then you can guarantee that pretty much every customer will eventually become disgruntled because you've taken money from them, just an all round headache really.

As my knowledge and experience in gambling expanded, I have sometimes thought about having my own casino, but I have not tried it or taken steps to achieve it because I know I am not in a position in my current status to fulfill this. We all know that it's a business and it requires a significant investment. But, of course, we should be aware of the things that need to be considered, and it's not easy to do. It's nice to hear and dream about, but there is competition in the industry. It could succeed, or it might not. For me, the most important thing is that you truly know what you're doing, and you can't start a business without being interested or having a passion for this niche.
If someone has big aspirations, they usually start from the bottom and consider working at a casino first while learning about how a casino operates and what it takes to keep it running smoothly. We all know that casinos are highly profitable and attract a lot of users. I also believe that behind the casino's big name, there are complex factors influencing its development. To understand these factors, one must work there first, even if it's just for a little while.

This is somewhat like building a business, where someone who knows everything from the ground up has a higher chance of success when they're ready to take on higher positions, even to become the owner of the company. The process is certainly long, but the results are long term as well.

As for myself, I've never thought about owning a casino, perhaps because my daily responsibilities divert my attention from such endeavors.

I plan this before but not global scale but rather just on my local community. We have a vacant house which we typically use to gamble with my friends u til it became popular gambling spot in the neighborhood. I plan to expand my house into a mini casino but later I stop due to the possible legal charges since my place is already exposed to the authorities due to popularity.

Although I dream about owning a casino especially online. I don’t have any skills or money to materialize this dream so I stop thinking about this long time ago and just play as regular client.
Paying tax should not be a problem. Those casinos that have license have a way of paying tax and they continue to grow, having more customers and making more money.

If possible you can give it a try, you should.

You can not compare yourself as gambler to having a gambling site. If you are a gambler, you are more likely to lose. If you have a gambling site, online or land based, you will make money, not lose.

Dreamed about having your own casino? Yes, as a gambler, particularly in online casinos, I dreamed of having my own online casino. First, because I like gambling, I like the different games that are fun to play. But as I said,  I don't often go to physical casinos, and I'm not a fan of crowded places. Second, I want to have my own because you can learn a lot, but it depends on how I manage the casino.

Why did I stop dreaming about that? Because for me, it is impossible for me to build such a thing, yes, I can make a website, programme games, and build my online casino, website, or application. But the thing is, it's not that easy. Others are right; you have things to consider before you can build your own—financial, capital, management, etc.—and I only know about programming, so I stop dreaming, and eventually I realise that it's just a dream. At my age, I just want to play an online casino.

In the past I dreamt about it, because it is clear to me that if you want to make money in the casino, the best thing you can do is to be the owner of the casino. It's not just about putting in the money, you have to be able to attract customers, manage bankroll, staff, and even then it can go wrong and you have to close down.

What I did in the past was to invest in casino banrkolls, and it went well, but nowadays I don't even care and I don't even know if the option still exists because I don't want to give up my private keys for extra profitability.

I don't rule it out in the future, but today it requires a lot of money, and to comply with more regulations, as has been mentioned.

I don't understand, you want to own a casino only to gamble there yourself? But what would be the point of doing it, since any money you win is already your money as it comes from the casino and any money you lose will be yours again as it goes to the casino. You would also have to account for taxes which would make this a bad deal in the long run. However, doesn't this take out all the fun from gambling as there is no real upside and you could also be gambling with play money as it wouldn't affect your financial situation. Owning a casino sounds like a lot of fun, but there must be a lot of work behind it and with so many casinos around these days the success is not guaranteed. After watching all the Oceans movies with George Clooney as a kid I also dreamed of owning my own casino one day. It would be so cool to walk around the gambling for and engaging with all the high rollers while drinking champagne. Unfortunately, this seems much more glamourous in the movies than the job would be in real life.  Another issue is that you need a lot of money to run a casino, because there could always be a winning streak for a gambler that would lead to large outflows.

A dream to have my own casino is something unrealistic because of some reasons. It requires a lot of money to start which something that I may not have it unless there will be a big luck for me to earn huge amount of money. Other reason is because I live in a country where gambling is considered as an illegal activity or a crime, so it will be very dangerous for me to own my own casino no matter online or offline. If I have the chance to have my own casino, maybe I need to go to other location in this world where it is friendly enough for casino owner.
