We ended ~ -3 by the end of the month, -20.7 was in the 2 week period.

There is plenty of variance in our line of business, add that to the fact that the first few weeks of NFL (including the preseason) and NCAAF have historically 'soft' lines - and there's your answer. The difference between this year and last is that we mitigated all our Sportsbook risk with a 3rd party vendor for a monthly fee, or 25% of the profit (which ever is higher). You can trace the benefits of this new model by reviewing our full P&L or historic monthly reports.

Can you explain the sportsbook to me? I know you've mentioned it before but I don't quite understand why it has underperformed so much. Casino looks great on the other hand.

Huge drop from +17 mid month to -20.71 by end of the month. Quite unfortunate...

Update!

We are going to push the publication of the August report to tomorrow as we have some minor updates to the detailed report that will be completed early tomorrow.

Once completed, we will publish in Havelock, as well as link within this thread tomorrow.

How's the end of the month report coming along? Mid month seemed solid.

We're working on the end of month report, but don't plan to release it until Monday, 9/8. We have a lot to cover!

Thanks all.

Looking forward to it. It was a solid mid-month financially Smiley

We recommend folks to read row 17 for period performance in the Book and Casino

Hi for the last period the sportsbook was up 17.05 BTC.

That said, we can't beat variance, however, we have offset all risk in the sportsbook with a 3rd party vendor that takes a portion of the profits for 100% of the liability (minus a fee)

Looking over the public spreadsheet, I noticed that the sportsbook has been ending the weeks with a loss. How do you guys expect to turn that from a loss to a gain?

The graphs are a bit confusing because you're reporting it as if it was a running balance, like a bank account. You'd be better served with bar graphs, so that people can see the absolute change from period to period more easily.

Going from -67 to -50 is much harder to read than seeing +17
