I suggest checking it out. Unfortunately, as of now hindi supported ang iOS devices: https://phoenix.acinq.co/

So, I've tried it and registered na din and nakakaamaze kasi akala ko nung una pag ganitong mga wallet need ng KYC and ETC pero simpleng Send and Receive lang pala ang feature niya hence you still need to have your main wallet such as Coins.ph. But still sobrang baba din talaga ng fees ng wallet na ito, imagine they only need 0.10% of each transaction, in which if ever you would receive or send 10,000 pesos, ang fee mo lang is 10 pesos (sampung piso)! From now on I'm gonna use this of course hindi lang dahil sa mabilis siya (itatry ko palang), but also para na din sa security which is also one of the Phoenix Wallet features (naka anonymous ka na kasi nakaconnect sa server nila and sa TOR and you can set up pins and fingerprint sa app).

Thanks for recommending this, mk4! Will surely be fond of this.

if ever na itry man namin ito, what features does it have na wala ang mga common wallets na ginagamit natin ngayon? (syempre maliban sa Lightning-like speed of transactions nito and UX na sinasabi mong nagproprogress from time to time)

That's pretty much it. Why I'm Phoenix Wallet is because mejo mas malayong mas madaling gamitin itong wallet na ito compared sa ibang existing Lightning wallets.

Is it a good option para sa mga newbie? I mean kahit ako hindi masyadong nag-dideep dive sa mga lightning networks and wallets kasi kampante nako sa Coins.ph at iba pang mga segwit and non-custodial/hard wallets. if ever na itry man namin ito, what features does it have na wala ang mga common wallets na ginagamit natin ngayon? (syempre maliban sa Lightning-like speed of transactions nito and UX na sinasabi mong nagproprogress from time to time)

But still, I might check it out and soon kapag nahumaling din ako baka ipromote ko din ang paggamit nito sa iba lalo na dito sa forum!  Grin

A must try wallet for those na gustong subukan LN. Small fees also. So only way to send funds only via QRcode sana mayroon din yung regular copied clipboard-paste wallet just in case, may ka transact ka na yun ang prefer.

I have not dived in with Lightning Network that far pero ang masasabi ko kasi dito kaya QR code palang meron sya is malaking chance na ang mas focus ng LN is yung merchant side ng Bitcoin transactions rather than P2P transactions. If you think about it LN just built a 2nd layers in Bitcoin's blockchain just to have scalability which means more mas malaki yung volume ng transactions with considerable lower fees dahil di sya direktang umaabala sa blockchain. I've seen comparison charts where VISA-card related transactions are considerably more kumpara sa Bitcoin transactions kaya itong LN is supposedly the answer at sa mga nababasa ko e-commerce and big businesses ay nakikita na possible nga ma-implement yung Bitcoin payments with the used of LN sa kanilang mga negosyo so kaya ang nakikita ko is more on the merchant side of things itong LN kaya siguro QR code ang nauna sa Phoenix Wallet. Pero ito lang ang opinyon ko at baka may ibang sagot na talagang makakasagot kung bakit QR code lang meron sila.

The wallet uses native segwit (bech32) starting with bch.
You meant bc1, right? Tongue

Tingin ko android palang meron so far. (Sorry Apple users Grin)

Yea. I stated on the main topic na hindi pa available ang Phoenix Wallet sa iOS currently. Tongue Pero:

Nasubukan ko na ang wallet na ito. Okay nga siya, comes with simple lang ang UX and UI design nya. The wallet uses native segwit (bech32) starting with bc1. I never tried transaction yet for lightning pero parang mixed up na siya ng standard bitcoin and LN, wanted to try receiving both from BTC and LN para malaman kung magsegregate ba ang balance niya pero sigurado as one lang.

Tingin ko android palang meron so far. (Sorry Apple users Grin)

Take note: Only android 7.0 and higher would support this app

Nice share OP.

Ang Lightning ay isa sa mga bagay na ayaw subukan ng karamihan dahil "masyadong komplikado". At oo, may katotohanan rin to, pero it's not as hard as you think. As Lightning gets developed, yes, gumaganda rin at kahit papaano napapadali rin ang user experience ng lightning wallets.

A perfect example: Phoenix Wallet.

At so far, mukhang wala masyadong downsides besides a bit of privacy and ung maliit na fees na tubo nung developers.

I suggest checking it out. Unfortunately, as of now hindi supported ang iOS devices: https://phoenix.acinq.co/

Remember, kahit gaano ka bilis o kabagal ang development at adoption ng Lightning Network, para saan ito pag hindi natin gagamitin or at least subukan man lang?
