Every individual has the right to gamble, gambling is a form of entertainment to some individual and every individual is entitled to having some entertainment. You can't tell who can or cannot gamble as far they're above the gambling age in their country. It's when you're using gambling as a source of income that you have to be careful of how you're gambling as when you don't have a source of income you can be addicted quickly due to the pressure from making profits each time you want to gamble.

Every gambler has to know what will make them successful when gambling or not, don't do things that'll make you to keep losing. When you're gambling everyday, you're increasing your chances of losing money therefore having a good source of income that is secured and you don't have to gamble everyday to make money will help it. It'll make you to have a relaxing mindset and not chase after your losses.

Instead of losing most of their income to gambling, they should use their income to meet their daily needs and save for their future needs. That would be better because they would not lose their money because of gambling and could prepare for their future too. If they have good self-control, they can use a small portion of their income to gamble but must still use clear limits so they don't gamble excessively. Having a steady income helps them survive and meet their living needs and not spend it on gambling because no matter how much money they use, it will run out, especially if they don't have good self-control.

If we can use a small portion of our income, that is enough to gamble, especially if we gamble just for fun, meaning we don't try to chase wins. It still depends on how much money you make because you still have priorities that you need to settle, like house, electricity, internet, and water. I am not sure if you read the OP or not. But, he didn't mean what you understand. He means that if you are a gambler, you mush have a steady income outside of gambling. Because you never know if you are going to win or lose the money in gambling. It seems that you misunderstand what the OP means about regular income, what he means is that having a regular income outside of gambling such as from a real job that can provide you with income or salary is a very important or expected situation when you are involved in gambling, not least because it is by having a regular income that you will have less difficulty or even still have a budget amount to finance your living needs. OP is not is talking about making regular income from gambling, for any experienced gambler should already know that regular income from gambling is not guaranteed, I won't say it's not possible since we really have some people who are into gambling as a means of income, and they seem to be doing well, possibly because, they have mastered the game they play and have leant how to cut their onion so it doesn't tear their eyes.

What op is talking about is on the importance of a gambler having a steady or regular mean of getting money/income, like a business, a well paying career, and good paying job and so on, this is like having a dependable business or job one does to make money on a regular, or monthly basis, so that the person can always have money to fuel their gambling needs or urges.

Those who are addicted to gambling and want to cure it must try hard to do so because it will not be easy. They must be able to resist the temptations that come and also thoughts about gambling that will continue to come and tell them to return to gambling.
