Try to concentrate only on reliable altcoins like Ethereum and Monero.

All the ICO scam tokens will bleed and fade away. Quality of new projects isn't improving much either. There's a LOT of money to be made from making shitcoins sadly, so we'll always see these coins pop up from time to time.

Personally I'm sticking to promising projects with active developments.

But my biggest sleeper is definitely XSN. It's gonna outperform most altcoins, since the team behind Stakenet is building and innovating upon the Lightning Network, bringing off-chain transactions with speed of light and low fees to the public. HUGE potential, and believe it or not, they actually helped both LTC, and PIVX integrating and fixing their code.

Do your own research though, and stay away from ERC20 tokens which are hyped up on nothing but vaporware, with nothing going for them.

Bounties, airdrops attract the wrong crowd. I develop an altcoin. You can only get it via mining. It's the type of skin in the game I want to have for my coin. It is a good filter for future projects: mining only.

Bitcoin will gobble up other Store-of-Value coins. Some coins like zcash, monero, grin may survive. They have features that Bitcoin community decides not to implement. It's hard to compete with Bitcoin on SoV narrative. Some semi-decentralized coins will survive to serve corporate interests.

It's time to stop fiddling with limited supply/SoV. This is why I create Bitflate, a coin with constant inflation rate.

Recent altcoin creation are just the same as the altcoin that was created a year ago.
They just copy it and somehow give another good feature or a website that looks cooler than the old one.
I dont think there is really one now being created for the best of the public.
It is all just greedy move for money. That is why I stopped supporting them now.

Do people really think that when bitcoin dominance increases all of the altcoins will die? that's just so wrong, even if the market cap of many altcoins has sunk into the depth of the bottom they are still alive anyway. I don't see any single sign that indicates the dead of altcoins but instead there's a new trend called IEO which brings many people. Also considering that bitcoin is about opensource thing and freedom, it is to be expected that there will always be altcoins that people privately created.

Max used to be an altcoin guy. He even launched his own altcoin Maxcoin. Words like that coming from someone who made money on altcoins don't mean much.
If max is as right about the death of altcoins as he was with his 2018 bitcoin price predictions then we are all safe Cheesy

I think because of the IEO model for investment. The quality of projects has also grown. Since there are too many competitors. And for this reason, projects often release MVP before conducting IEO.

To an extent, he is right, not all altcoins will make it to the future, there are so many altcoins that will die and even if we have new ones rising, they may not get the attention that will sustain them in the market because lately, it feels like people have been a little bit more interested in bitcoin more, which is why bitcoin is gaining more dominance, and the more bitcoin gains popularity, the more it limits the chances of some coins thriving in the market.

Basically, I think most of the altcoins that would see the light of the day are the ones within the top 50 in coinmarketcap aside the stable coins, because those stable coins will also varnish once bitcoin gets to a stage where it will be useful also to serve as store value, the value will tend to be a little bit stable and could serve like a stable coin.

It's no rocket science. If bitcoin continues its dominance at a larger percentage, many altcoins whose funds have been diverted to bitcoin will die because developers will lack money for development and sustainability and thus decimating the altcoins

if anything the quality of altcoins has declined hard over the past 2-3 years. specially ever since the ICOs became a thing in this market, everyone kept creating shitcoins and published them reducing the quality of new projects more and more.
that dude you are quoting is exaggerating though. unfortunately altcoins aren't going to die that easily. they will continue to get pumped and dumped for a couple of more years.

the quality of new crypto projects keep decreasing from time to time that is why most of the project didn't even reach their soft cap at many occasions so we cannot say the development of the new projects increased or emerged.There may be few cryptocurrency project have real working future but it buried under lot of shit coins.

I think about altcoins although not everyone can predict about it, accept something from others is not bad to do actually. It is like something that give us information either it is right or wrong, we just don't follow it directly, maybe good to be an addition for our research and can help us to predict something too in altcoin world.

There many self proclaimed crypto experts and analysts. It would be good to hear them all if they provide their assumptions with facts and reference. Hear of all and decide on your own. But if they are just making prophecies than there's zero credibility for them.
