Greetings everyone,

That depends on a number of factors, including how much you're willing to invest, and what your electricity cost is.

It is no longer profitable to mine bitcoin itself with GPU/CPU's, you can however still mine altcoins with your GPU. See https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/

You'll need an ASIC to mine bitcoin. Like this one, https://shop.bitmain.com/antminer_s9_asic_bitcoin_miner.htm

Great to have know this, this for great thought you have share to us. It truly help.

Bitcointalk is a great way to learn about how bitcoin works and gain knowledge about other crypto-currencies as well. It's also a great place to find out about interesting new coins before they reach the mainstream because many ICO's and alts are posted here relatively early on in their development. Welcome, and greetings from me also even though I used to visit this site regularly back in the day!

According to my knowledge if your are thinking about mining bitcoins with your own computer it is not profitable now. Instead you can use cloud mining services which offers bitcoin mining facility. Or if you are still thinking about assembling a system for mining crypto then it is better to think about mining alto coins. But do your own researches before doing anything.

If you have enough money, you can dig into bitcoin.
what do you mean by that my friend ? I think the best way to take profits is investing on alt coins. Rather than going after bitcoin. Because at the moment bitcoin has come so far.. But there are lot of new alt coin projects with good concepts.. They will have good future with 10x or more than that ICO increments.

It depends on your investment if you want to mine bitcoin. The higher your investment, the higher profit you will get.
And i think it will be more profitable very soon because the value of bitcoin is recovering from 7000$ to 10000$. Expect the best soon.

bitcoin is profitable of all time.but you need a good amount of money investment for it.bitcoin miner is too much costly.but instead of bitcoin mining joining ICO is good idea.but you need to choose a good ICO for it.

I also read up on mining but to me (my opinion only)it makes more sense to use all the money for hardware and electricity and just buy coins. Haha maybe I am not patient enough. Wink

Same here, I'm also a beginner. I think it's still profitable (long-term) but if you have enough money right now for your daily living, I suggest don't invest all of your money/savings.  Smiley

It is beneficial if you look with your mind. On the lower levels - to buy, at the top - to sell.
