Pro tip you should check out the promotional sections and see how you could have some fun acquiring little amounts of BTC. You could check out the news section to educate yourself on some of the current happenings in the community.

You could start with the bitcoin wiki (https://bitcoin.it/) and the Multibit FAQ (https://multibit.org/faq.html) to get some basic understanding of bitcoin; and you could read the bitcoin white paper (https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf) for more in-depth information.

My story. I was reading this forum on and off I guess for more than 6 months before actually signing up which I am glad I did. I am here to learn and to share.
