Exactly, they're hoping to get some merits for their post and be launched into bounty hunting right away. When it doesn't work out as planned, they're off again.
Because the users here are very friendly to newbie and alt accounts tend to use the opportunity to get some merits. However, we cannot judge them also base on my experience I had created an account here before but I forgot the password so I was not able to open it until now. Then I create new and now been using it since then with high activity already. Been active in the forum for a while but my rank still in member. I was a shit poster and that says it all why I am still having low rank account. Well, I did not regret at least I earn merits recently and that is the good thing that I have been receiving and doing here in the forum.

I'm on board now. I come from Germany and want to learn more about bitcoin. A friendly "Hello!"   Smiley   to everyone here.

Willkommen an Board!

Before you rush to get started, you should learn the basics about Bitcoin and crypto so that you can avoid the many pitfalls that exist for beginners.
In case you don't know it yet, there is a lively German-speaking part of the forum where you can ask questions and participate in discussions at any time. Feel free to join https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=16.0
Unfortunately, it looks like OP has decided against continuing to post here, since it hasn't logged in anymore (last login September 19).
Of course I hope to be proven wrong, new active members aren't signing up very frequently right now.  Undecided

I have seen quite a few new members lately "promising" to be somehow active but they've never logged in again....

Before you dive in, you have to make evaluate your risk-taking ability.
There are 2 ways to invest into BTC, or any crypto in gernal.
1. Trading
2. Mining

Trading is risky, it requires a lot of study and the market change can wipe out all your investment over night. Obviously we know how volatile crypto currencies are. I’ve traded BTCs in the past and wouldn’t recommend this at all.
I find mining to be a better option. I use RRMines services. Their decentralized computing power platform has a variety of products, In addition to the 3-year long-term contract, lock-in period of 30 days, 90 days, 180 days are also available. After the end of the lock-in period, users can freely trade or renew their computing power contracts. The contracts can be transferred to other users or repurchased by platforms then users can recoup their costs for buying contract. A fixed investment will get you a more stable income, and you can choose to sell mined BTCs when the price is right for you. They've a large userbase of 100,000+

I Always use their 7 or 30 day lockdown option. You pay $13.99 for 7 days, the mining profit will cover your cost for purchasing the computing power and with a small extra as net profit. Not a lot of money, but its just the starter pack for you to learn the rope and decide if you like this form of investment. Trading to make profit is for professionals. Normal people without background in trading will almost always lose money. Cloud mining is less risky and more stable.

PS: I've no affiliation with them, I'm just impressed with what I use and I hope this helped you

you created a topic with a phrase that looked like you would be here on this forum being a very active member, but it's been 6 days and you only made 3 posts with only 1 line. I don't think it's the behavior of someone who would be excited to be here on the forum.

Exactly what I predicted, less than 3 hours after his first post.

I'm on board now. I come from Germany and want to learn more about bitcoin. A friendly "Hello!"   Smiley   to everyone here.

From your other posts, it looks like you don't actually want to learn more about bitcoin. It looks more as if you just came here to share your referral links with the community.

Hello together, I have been looking for a long time how I can earn especially small bitcoin amounts than pocket money by the way. But I haven't found anything. Because of this and because I deal with internet advertising in hobby I founded the new facebook group for bitcoins and referrals. Like to take a look ... I'll be happy to send you the link via pm.

Do you honestly believe you are not the trillionth person on this forum who has had this "brilliant" idea of making a bit of "pocket money" by promoting referrals and facebook groups?

Let's see how long it takes before your post gets deleted by the mods.

I have no idea why everyone continued to greet the guy for days. Well... I do suspect some people did find it an interesting thread to boost their activity. Roll Eyes

Shame on you, guys.

Thanks again for the nice, informative welcome. I've had experience with mining. I had bought mining capacity there. It wasn't so productive.

do you mean you did cloud mining? well i also lost a lot of money in the past with these cloud mining sites and it was a big disappointment and life lesson. The best option is to buy and hold (but always leave your coins in your wallet) and if you trade then always at the end of the day prefer to withdraw your coins to wallet.

Good to see you around newborn, though the forum is available for all if only rules and regulations are strictly adhere to properly. I urges you to ensure to read up the rules which colleagues have already shared above, most importantly be more focus and determine to learn and work on yourself.
