if you are looking for long term hold, buying a coin that uses Proof of Stake, is a good option for 100 USD.

Find the one you like the best, buy the coins, download them to your wallet and let the interest accumulate.

PoS coins require the client to be running in order to "gain interest".  With only a 100usd investment, you'd have to consider whether it's costing you more to mine than the return you're getting.

This is not true. The client can be left closed until the coins have aged enough and then turn on client, to let them stake. You can run them off of a Pi. I don't that is much energy.

Cryptsy is coming around though. Especially with the addition of their newest servers.
'fraid it's not about servers. Their code is fundamentally broken. Coins/Orders seem to disappear, which indicates serious concurrency bugs.

That may be true. It's still the best place to trade FRK at this moment in time. Smiley

If you want to gamble i would go with NXT. Its still closed source right now but if he releases the source code and its legit than the value will prob go through the roof relative to what people are willing to invest in a closed source project. Good gabling opportunity.

if you arnt looking to take a huge gable than what are you doing with altcoins?

What is your Franko address? i'll send you a couple. That way you can save some of your money and still gain a few coins.
helloand thank you Smiley , but where to i get franko wallet ? please send me pm

You can use www.frankos.org or the mirror website www.myfirstfranko.com

there is a nice guide at www.myfirstfranko.com/GettingStarted/

Hey! Got any good argument as to why I should buy in to FRK? Looking for a 5th investment and just want to make sure its a good one!

Franko was designed with Fairness, scarcity and speed in mind. The franko block reward halves every 22 years as opposed to the alternatives. This gives everyone in the world a fair chance to adopt a new system and allows for a more long term solution.

We also have a range of merchants who currently accept Franko as a means of payment, ranging from beef jerky to video games, to 10 brick and mortar pawn shops in the Atlanta Georgia area. We are gaining membership to various Chambers of Commerce and starting a large marketing campaign soon. I wont tell you its the best solution because that isnt my place in a free market. My place is to offer you the most fair solution.

A list of most of our services.
http://www.frankopedia.com/mediawiki/index.php/Service_directory

It sounds great, so Ill throw $1-2k on it maybe, Not sure how much that will give me but probably a couple of hundred right?
Got any good FRK exchange with high volume of it? And also, if you could be so kind to link to your forum as I always like to invest time in the forums of a coin if I am to invest in the coin itself Smiley

Certainly. http://forum.frankos.org

And FRK is currently valued at around $4.69/FRK So you can get a good amount for $1k-$2k.

Also, cryptsy.com is where the most frk volume is currently.

Thanks! Hmm, I dont really like cryptsy, has happened too much things there to be worth my time.  You think you might get introduced to bter.com soon? Doing the majority of my trades there!

Feel free to send them an email on our behalf. We are looking at bter, btc-8 and btc38 in the near future. Cryptsy is coming around though. Especially with the addition of their newest servers.

Look at the descriptions of the coins and how they fundamentally differ from Bitcoin.  Many of them don't change very much.  With these coins, many investors are likely thinking what you're thinking, which is wait until the price goes up, then jump ship.  These coins are very risky to invest in.  If you don't sell before they do, you're likely going to lose a lot of money.  I think safe but still very profitable coins are PPC, XPM, DTC, in increasing order of risk and potential profit.  Most other coins are too risky for a serious investment, imo.  Maybe throw 1/10 your total funds into a coin or two that you have a good feeling about, but put the rest of your money into something with a clear future.
