Dont pay attention to the user who posted before, he is a brand newbie and probably he doesnt know how ico's works, so better to stay away from icos if you want to have a good bitcoin balance.
If you invest in those icos, you will lose your money quickly, he is right saying that 95% of icos dies, because it is true, but nothing can guarantee that the other 5% will make a 100x, what if it does not even recover the final ICO price?
Just trade, and make some smart investments, you will find your own investment strategy.

1. never invest more than you can loose
2. 100 usd in every new ICO which isn't an obvious scam
3. hold
4. hold
5. hold some more
6. 95% die 5% grow 100x
7. sell 10%
8. hold
9. hold
10. buy used ferrari

example:
   you invest 100$ into 100 ICO's a grand total of 10000$
   95 ICO die -9500$,
     5 ICO are unicorns 100x +50000$

Hi I am relatively new to cryptocurrency. I had some Bitcoin a couple of years ago but unfortunately sold them  (which I regret now) so looking to make some connections here, and also look at investing in some ICOs. Do you have any recommended ones, or is it just a case of browsing the latest forum topics here, and deciding which one looks best? This is more of an introduction post, so looking forward to connecting with you all to scrutinize some coin  Tongue

You have to do your own research and find the best coins to invest in. Also, you may invest in existing cryptocoins as well, not only ICO. Don't trust anyone who says to invest in Coin A or Coin B, because usually these people are just shilling the coins they have in their wallets. Better to find coins with a clear roadmap, a serious team and a good project. Stay away from any unreaistic project as well as from devs who aren't clear about their projects and seem to just take care of investments money.

Hi, you might try investing in casino bankrolls (see results of my own investments in my signature).
It's long term investment but unlike ICOs you can withdraw your funds anytime (and invest them elsewhere).
thats a nice idea. how can you withdraw at any time? surely someone would need to buy them first?
The funds are still yours. Part of your balance (just sort of blocked from being gambled away). You can cancel the invest whenever you want (and gamble it or withdraw).
But e.g cryptogames games charges small fee to short term investors (you need to keep funds there for 21 days otherwise divest fee around 0.3% will be charged)

EDIT: in other words you are just lending them your funds and they are giving you part of their profit.

Move past through most(95%) of all the ICO bullshit and just invest in bitcoin and some other reputable cryptocurrencies. Which coins specifically? Go for DYOR(Do Your Own Research) coin. I might sound a bit harsh, but that's pretty much it, and I'm pretty sure most people will say the same. Don't automatically buy a coin just because it's being shilled; do research first. A coin can skyrocket by just shilling, yes, but you're going to have problems longterm. Best of luck.

Yes that is why i am here to be honest. I can see from looking through here there are hundreds so i will investigate and look into which ones look reasonable (if any) and ask questions as needed.
