Title pretty much says it all, very frequently when logging in to Bittrex I'm told I'm using a new IP and to verify via email (this isn't a problem, just a hassle). The thing is that I'm using the same IP as earlier.

Anyone encountered this before and know what causes it/how to solve it?

There's no problem with that, it's just verify via email. Open your email click the link and you can make transactions as usual. As long after verify you can still send - received payment with successful process it's nothing bro. It's just part of the rules to protect your account and their system from hacked. Keep going and good luck with you.

make sure you don't have a dynamic IP which is a pretty common thing. and that means every time you reconnect to the internet your ISP will assign a new IP address to you which is different than the previous one and sites that restrict IP access will require you to verify your new IP.

what they usually do is that they add an option for you to add a "range" of IP addresses. for example 1.2.xx.xx so that it allows any IP in that range instead of a fixed one. for example it will allow 1.2.3.4 and 1.2.5.6 and 1.2.255.255 and so on. but it will block 1.3.3.4 for example.
I don't use bittrex anymore since they started scamming people so you have to check to see if they offer this option or not.
They do offers the option to lock IP ranges. op you could use this tutorial.

Why do you say this? I actually have an account there with a small amount, that I use for occasional trading (mostly swing trading), and I never had any problems. Only chased out a few times, but at least for now everything went smoothly. Have you heard anything, or did anything happened to you? I heard they had issues with the kyc process, and some documents were leaked once, but besides that I never heard anything else.
I don't use bittrex either, they've locked several users account without any reason. also many old(legacy accounts) were changed to new account disabling withdrawals without any announcement. now they want to force us to upload documents to continue using their service or withdraw whatever balance we have on bittrex. if this behavior isn't of a scammer then i don't know what it is.

It's really easy to know Smiley Your IP is Dynamic IP so it's not the same IP address all the time although you don't change your internet connection cause your IP address changed automatically. I also have this problem and just need to log in again one more time Smiley. Don't worry about this problem, it's very normal. I think you should read a little bit about Dynamic IP and Static IP to understand about it Smiley

I'm not too tech savvy, I did think this is what it could be but was surprised how variable it seems to be. Sometimes I'm required to verify it multiple times a day and sometimes it's multiple weeks.

Looking in to it a little it seems that my IP is dynamic so I'm sure that's why. Thank you for your help.

Out of curiosity, when and why does your IP change if it's dynamic?

ISPs only have a certain number of IP addresses to go around from the total pool of available addresses. Certain customers have something known as a static IP address, this is particularly useful for people hosting their own server, or requiring SSH access. You may be able to contact your ISP and request a static IP address if it's annoying you too much (there is often a charge for this service however).

It can be fixed by logging in more frequently.
There could be an automated bot in bittrex end that will warn you once the IP changes.
I use VPN so this happens to me a lot. But when that IP is registered into your account then it will not pop up anymore. Maybe logging in and out can also fixed the problem. Once verified from e-mail and proved it is you then it will be okay.

This tells how good bittrex security is.

This is actually the main reason why we do experience such thing ( You deserve a merit for this one). Why exchange do keep telling that youre logging in on different IP yet your IP is dynamic which been totally your own ISP matters. Addresses do changes which means as part of Bittrex security feature they would normally need some verification since ip do change up.This is not alarming though and its actually a normal stuff.

Are you sure your internet provider is not regularly changing your IP address? That is quite normal behavior even with optic fiber lines, and you probably won't even notice that. I do get that warning a lot as well, but I think everything is fine, and like you said is more of an hassle than anything else. I don't really think anyone is trying to hack your account, but maybe you should look into it.

I also have this issue, it happens after you reset your router if you have a dynamic IP, as your IP address is changed on each startup.

If not, it could be a corrupt cookie issue, try deleting your cookies and trying again, the new cookie should be fine.

Many who are experiencing the same thing but don't question them anymore, Bittrex is an exchange account that it's closely linked with your coins and money, of course they be implementing a security system to maintain the privacy of its users and this applies to all exchange accounts, only different ways (Sms / Voice calls / email verification).
Actually it's just for security and it's very good for your account security. Although you are using the same IP, it is possible that your IP is public and can be used by anyone.

I hve only encountered this a few times and then they sent me an email with a code and then I was able to login. I am fully verified there now but to be quite frank with you I barely trade on this exchange any more. I only go there sometimes to purchase a coin or token that has high liquidity and is trading on Bittrex so I may store and hold in the long term but I have not traded or bought anything there for quite some time now so not sure what is happening there. I hope your issue gets resolved very soon.

Two things that come into my mind to check are: the time/timezone and the cookies to be allowed. If you use an add blocker you should also disable it on Bittrex.
Also make sure your computer has no malware and you access the site directly, not from a (phishing) link.
Trying with another browser is another thing to try.
